No cable, no car, no money, no friends to shuttle your worthless ass around?

Hmmm, sounds like you really ARE the man.

Who's the b1tch?

Here are some things I've personally seen spandex wearing idiots on bikes do:

Line of traffic is moving along about 35, legally passing Joe Biker (who is in the bike lane) on the way towards the intersection. Light turns and traffic slows ... Biker keeps on moving because he knows the crosswalk is gonna show walk in a few seconds, and he's planning on pretending he's a pedestrian as soon as he gets to the intersection. He shoots out into the crosswalk and sprawls across the hood and fender of opposing left-turning traffic

Similar scenario, except this time one of the guys ahead of me stops, checks traffic and turns right, bumping Joe the Moron (who was almost a pedestrian, dammit) into a tree, a rock, a power pole and the curb. Much bleeding and cursing ensued but he seemed OK.

People don't hate you, heck I like bikes. We hate the idiotic and dangerous things you do as you increase our risks along with your own. We despise the way you behave irresponsibly and then when bad things finally happen you can't bring yourself to shoulder responsibility. We hate that you think it's your God given right to break laws put in place for our safety.

I could beat you on my BMX bike.
I own the road on that thing. I can jump curbs and traffic islands if they get in my way.

I can see Stuntman come into your class with handcuffs on. "I got arrested because I was riding my bike too fast"

Now you see, if you're not aware, then you're reckless. But if you know what's going on on the road, then it's perfectly normal to take calculated risks.

I've seen bikers ride on sidewalk, everything is cool, then come to an intersection, a blind one, they had the hand for them they could cross and they did, just to be ran over a car that is turning into that blind corner, on red. Illegally.

I see a lot of stuff car drivers do. Most of them have no clue and should not be driving cars. Just like you described yourself, you are dangerous. Give up your license and don't drive, for the sake of children's safety. You reading me, idiot?

Of course I'm not going to put my life in danger with things like this going on. I took a stop sign in bottom low traffic area with corner wide open. I'm tall, like sitting in a truck tall, I see things that a regular car driver wouldn't see. It was safe.

Along with this I also take red lights, and drive into in coming lanes. Do I do it in heavy traffic area??? Hell nah. Only where I feel safe and protected from idiots in cars who need to stop driving!

There are risks with bikes, no doubt. Yet biking is such a fun thing to do. On my stang I'd be pushing 3 pedals and shifting, and that's as much fun as you could get, it's boring. On the bike, it's always something new, it's fun, it's interesting. Not to mention that I'm twice faster on my bike than on my stang. Not to mention that I meet beautiful women on my bike all the time. While an idiot like you might look at one while passing a bus station - I'd be taking down her number.

I once had a race with my friend, he was on his car and I was on my bike. He took several lights and was gone, or I thought so. Until I caught up to him at a draw bridge, passed that traffic, and ended up 10 minutes earlier at the beach!! He was looking for parking spot, while I was getting sun lotion rubbed on my back by a beautiful girl I met in this 10 minutes. I'm loving it!

Haters.

P.S. Thanks for mental picture of spandex. I bet you like your boyfriend wearing it for you. Homo.

Why does this story remind me of a child trying to outdo another child? I'm half expecting you to add some more to the story.

"Then blow me, Jessica Alba walked past and I did a wheelie and she said I was cool, and asked if we could get a tandem, but I didn't want to, because I had 17 women admiring my wheels, which I made from gold which the president gave me because I'm so cool. And my dads bigger than yours"

All hail the cycling Saviour!

Jackass.

P.s. I'm willing to bet my shiny new six speed bike the only number you're taking down, is the number of the bus the beautiful girl got on to escape your lycra clad, delusional, can't afford a car, jihad-loving, cop hating, poncey ass.

You guys are poisonous! I'm out of this thread, argue driving ethics among your selfs for the heck of it. I'm still the baddest mother fvcker you ever come across on the road, and just like that, I'm move on and gone in split second, onto bigger, better things -- concept that is alien for some.

I'll admit that showed some impressive riding skills but I'd question their ability to ride predictably in a pack of at least 20 or 30 other cyclist. These guys are either lone wolves or wolves that travel in small packs for a reason.

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

Yeah, but get caught riding like that, and the cops will not be happy. Depending on the state, a one could face felony reckless driving, loss of all driving licenses, impound of bike, and possibly even state seizure of the bike. Looking at all of that, it makes running seem understandable.

There are guys on the R1 forum who say they have run from cops so many times that it has gotten boring. Outrunning a crown vic with an R1 is not exactly difficult. The typical "chase" lasts about fifteen seconds. After the initial thrill wears off, some guys will provoke cops for fun. I have read multiple stories of intentionally passing a cop doing 100 mph on one wheel and flipping him off.

They should take it to the track.

True, but the nearest track is a long way from some of us.

On a bike that does over 100 mph in first gear, it is very hard to follow the law on an open road.

I agree, I ride a liter-class sportbike too, as well as an open class MXer. Having said that the person operating the machine is responsible for any injuries caused by reckless actions, and should also take great care to not endanger others.

This guy is at least on deserted canyon roads, no traffic, and stays on his own side. He would have a lot more fun on a track though.

I don't care how fast your car is, my bike is faster! I seen lambos going 0 to 60 from a light in couple of seconds, just to be over taken by me at the next light.
