man...this sucks...its bad enough spending Saturday nights alone but new years? man this sucks!! are there any people the the San Francisco Bay Area that want to hang out tonight?? I want to go to this new years ball in San Francisco but have no friends....how many of you guys are going out alone tonight?? and where to?

Thats what I hate about holidays like this. It forces you to feel like a douchebag for being a loser with no life (no offense intended towards you). Tonight I'm traversing the NJ countryside to go to a party I don't want to so I dont feel like a loser on New Years when I really just want to sit by myself and enjoy my miserable, suffering solitude. I have a few parties to go too, but I rather stay home and spend it with my family. There are too many freaking cops out there and I don't think I will be missing much. I have cut down on my drinking and prefer to live a healthier lifestyle at this present time. I know its once a year but I want to wake up fresh in the morning to start my newyear.

Went to NYC this weekend with my father and checked it out. Now I'm spending the night with my family while I'm back in town. Sure, I have friends calling me asking me to come out, but the time with my family means a lot more. Besides, I see my friends enough, but I can never spend enough time at home

As for me, I never really do anything exciting on New Year's because i'm always with my family at home, and my family doesn't really party. People really overblow holidays in their own minds, anyway. You know what my favorite holiday is? Halloween. That's because there's always some fun party going on. It takes little effort to have fun on Halloween. But don't feel like you have to go create coolness out of thin air when you're not in the mood just because it's a holiday. Same goes for Christmas, Valentine's Day, Independence Day, etc.
