how do i know? because i met many people and chatted with many and saw many people's way of living/car (or lack of)/house etc.... and know their jobs etc... when you know people since a few months (not that you need that much time), you can easily know if they're actually wealthy or not

Anything is possible OP. But being in great shape/ having a muscular body makes a difference.

I've never been overweight nor muscled up, but when I got toned, had some definition, flat stomach so many doors opened for me. I could date more attractive women more often. Women I had sex with always complimented my body.
