What have your experiences with Fraternal Orders been? Or what have you experienced with friends, relatives and acquaintances?

Elks - rent their hall frequently for fundraising events. Cheap bar and RV parking. Monthly dinners with a theme.

Druids - Joined to give my daughters extra chance at a scholarship. Monthly dinners. doa lot of donations in the community.

Lions - Buy raffle tickets from them they help sponsor a lot of Boy scout troops in area

Others?

Idk man they seem to have died in Oz. Seems like a good idea for socialising and making biz contacts. I admit my social circles have died off over covid. Might look into Lions. Thanks for the idea.

I used to go with my grandpa during my 20s to his Lions club lunch meeting. I got a free meal, met a lot of people he introduced me to, and they always had a guest speaker that was interesting. It was a good way to meet a lot of civic and business minded men in the community.

My dad was a Kiwanis member for years, it was a lot like the Lions club.

If you are a business owner I think either one of these groups are a great thing.

I have no experience with them, but it seems like this is a thing that is sorely needed in this day and age. Women have been constantly trying to destroy them over the years and have mostly succeeded.

Sound great to me - my buddy has joined up to the elks and lions - meets lots of older successful guys and they do great things like fundraise for blind children. An absolutely great idea to join up - the benefits almost certainly outweigh any cons.
