I sat at the window seat in the plane, along comes a tall Hispanic stopping by our row and takes the middle seat. I open with what are you flying to or flying back?
We had conversations about mechanical design software because she’s and engineering manager and I’m in software sales. The plane was taxi’ing and had to come back to the gate, we were delayed inside the plane for 2 hours on a 1 hour flight.
Conversations were non-stop during the entire flight about traveling, family, food, astrology, Buddhism, manifesting. We were leaning against each other and brushing our legs up against each other.

One thing she mentioned was on here recent trip to Asia, where I was born, the hosting family got a chocolate gift and opened it with her. I was at a corporate dinner last night and they had a small single-piece chocolate box with a bow on top. After she finished her story, I took it out of my bag and said I would continue the tradition. Exchanged numbers an hour in and she said she would show me around her area which was cross border.

Pretty stoked on this 34 year old Latina.

First off, I think it's weird and a huge red flag to practically tell your life story to a total stranger, particularly if you're a woman.

Secondly, sounds like you got yourself a 'spiritual' (which nowadays generally means cuckoo) woman. :D

Who cares?

If you can make being in a delayed plane a pleasant experience, imagine what other things in life you can make pleasant :p

…and that’s how all the Hallmark movies and romantic novels start.

Joking aside, good for you. I don’t think I’d be able to have a conversation for more than 3 hours in close quarters like that without isolating. You may have better game than me. Kudos.

If the conversation is pleasant it costs nothing to share it. Plenty of times women tell me things pretty early that they clearly don't share with everyone simply because I set up the vibe for it right away.

It becomes a red flag if you're the type of guy she shouldn't share that much with, but she still does it anyways. However, this is also the type of guy who wouldn't recognize it as a red flag to begin with because of his own issues.

I'll casually go into very personal parts of my own story within the first hour with a stranger if it becomes relevant to the conversation. It would be something else if I forced it in there for some reason of course. I can totally see the natural flow of a relaxed conversation venturing into such topics rather quickly though.

As such I wouldn't make a blanket statement calling it a huge red flag, it depends on context and the ability to recognize whether the context is reasonable or not.
