While helping to move a table, (notice here that I am visibly being helpful, taking charge of the task at hand) i say smiling to the target as we pass, "are you just gonna stand there, or are you gonna help?"
she smiles back
A few minutes later I see her watching the music band. I walk up beside her and said. "I thought you were going to help." She smiles again and we both laugh. I then turn to the band, and pretend I'm more interested in them. She initiates conversation. I continue to converse with her, and then go paying more attention to the music. She positions herself to be more in my view.
She asks me what I do. I say I write dating advice books
She asks if one of the techniques in my book is to tell women that you write dating advice books. I say "no, but it does work. I've got your attention." She blushes.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzz got a live one. Time to start realing her in.
Now I give her the routine about how, "most women arent very interesting to me anymore. but there's something about you that has caught my attention, at least a little bit. You're doing pretty good so far, but i'm not sold yet" (here I established that she must prove herself to me)
SHe continues to attempt qualify herself. I accept and confirm most of the qualifications, but occasional demonstrate casual disapproval, just to make sure she doesnt get to comfortable. At this point she is still trying to act like she could take it or leave it.
At this point I disingage, and go mingle with other people. Every now and then we cross paths, and a chat for a minute before wandering again. Now she feels a little more the need to secure my attention.
Next, I find another cute girl to dance with for a minute. I make sure it is at a time that girl #1 will see.
What happens now, you guessed it. Girl # 1 comes onto the dance floor and acerts herself by me, trying to display to g #2 that she has some priority over me. I dance with both of them for a minute before throwing g #1 a little bone, by facing only her while we dance. G # 2 eventually fades out of the sceen, and the rest is Dong Fu history.
