Hell yeah! 3 months ago, I got out of a 2 year relationship. Since then, I been spending time improving myself and concentrating on work. Today, some of it paid off.
My apartment complex has a gym room. About 2 months ago, I started going there regularly. One day, I ran into an HB7. OK looks, pretty good body, awesome tan. We chat and she seems fairly interested.
Over the next couple weeks, we run into each other. She mentions her favorite sitcom, and I say I like it, too. Then she says, "Oh, you should come by and borrow the box set sometime!" Heh heh.
I saw her by the apartment pool a couple weeks ago and we started talking. We started talking about her new dog. Her: "Oh, you should come by and see him sometime." Heh heh.
The whole time I played it pretty cool. However, I recently found out she's moving out of the apartment complex at the end of the month! So, I decided it was time to act.
Today, I met her in the gym again. We talked about several things, including her new apartment. I intentionally mentioned about my ex-girlfriend's experience renting an apartment with a poorly written lease. I really wanted to get a mention of the "ex girlfriend" in there.
Anyway, we talk:
Me: So, I gotta run now, but hey, what's your number?
Her: My phone number or apartment number?
Me: Phone #.
She gives and I write it down
I'm fairly certain she doesn't have a boyfriend. I overheard her talking on the phone, and it doesn't sound like she has a dude helping her move.
I figure I'll call her next Monday and try to set something up for next Wednesday. Probably pool and some beers.
Sorry for the novel, but damn, it's satisfying to go out into the wild and bring home a number.
