What's up bros (and gals),

I've been trying to think of something to contribute since I joined the email list so here's my first post. I expect you'll find it at least interesting, hopefully beneficial...

I was 6'2", 140 lbs when I moved into the dorms, vegetarian fed by my mom. Now I'm 190 lbs of muscle.

Let's get alpha male with some staples from the nutrition store; it doesn't cost that much either. Besides protein, which is required to make muscle, there are ONLY 2 items that are proven (Men's Fitness mag) to add muscle mass: Creatine and HMB.

If you aren't eating enough protein your body goes into a state called ketosis in which your body literally makes a judgment call and eats up protein from other areas which it deems less necessary in order to make the new muscle which you just worked out on. So you could lose your leg muscles when you work out your chest muscles. That's why alot of people don't gain mass and get sore. Taking a protein supplement prevents ketosis.

Optimum Nutrition Whey protein gives you 80 25 oz protein servings for around $30. And they make a larger size for $50 that's even cheaper per serving. It's the most servings, most amount of protein per serving, and lowest price. You can get it at amazon.com by typing in the search field). Stay away from egg white protein as well as egg whites because the avidin protein causes baldness by creating a biotin deficiency.

Creatine (any brand but make sure its micronized or else it doesn't dissolve. cost is around $20 for 3 months supply, VERY CHEAP - ALOT OF EFFECT). Creatine is natural in the body, normally the body making 2 grams and using 2 grams per day). Creatine is in red meat. It is used as a backup energy source for ATP energy for anything that requires more than one rep whether its working out or just doing your daily tasks. You have more energy and don't get tired every day. It also has been shown to increase mental energy.

You'll start getting mass even if you don't work out and just take the protein and creatine. If you want to add more mass in the first month take HMB for just a month. That one is a little pricier at $40 for a month's supply.

Check if your chest is even slightly pigeon-chested which means that the spot in the lower center of your ribcage goes in instead of being at least perpendicular to the floor. Schwarzenegar defied the medical community when he proved you can increase the size of the chest ribcage and remove pigeon-chesting. He says the most important machine in the gym is the pullover machine, which you can also do with free weights (The New Encyclopedia of Bodybuilding by Swarzenegar... about $20 at amazon a great buy, 2 inches thick and the standard in bodybuilding books). You want your chestline to at least be vertical not sunken in at all. Check your back right behind that same spot on your chest. That too should be perpendicular to the floor.

For your forehead, the traditional measure of beauty in both guys and girls is 2-2-2-1. The distance from your chin to bottom of your nose (2), nose to brow (2), forehead (2), and hair (1). If it's anything different than that try to get it to the standard 2-2-2-1. Besides from one's genes which one doesn't have control over causing androgenetic allopecia (male pattern baldness), forehead's get larger from frowning from getting angry, drugs, eggwhites (the avidin protein binds to biotin which is used for hair), lack of protein, too much testosterone, and wearing hats (Asians only because the hair grows perpendicular to the scalp and get damaged and fall out). Notice if you make an angry look bringing your eyebrows down it stretches the size of the forehead. When you make an attentive look raising your brow it makes the size of your forehead smaller. This is what history calls the high-brow and low-brow person. You might have heard the idiom that people get the face they deserve by the age of 40. Forehead size is one of the traits they are talking about. Try to keep the right size forehead (2-2-2-1) and use an anti wrinke cream to make the lines disappear that form when you raise your brow. Use rogaine on and above your eyebrows and on the area just below your hairline. As a side effect rogaine makes pecs grow. If you can afford it take propecia. Watch what you eat staying away from egg whites and add the whey protein which will make sure you're not deficient in protein.

It's true from many studies that girls only look for 2 things in guys security and symmetry. You can say looks don't matter but why not do the some research about beauty and solve the common male aging problems instead. Like in the older lady in that movie "Under the Tuscan Sun" said "Hold on to your youthful essence because if you don't, nobody else will for you.

Maximize yourself so you get top girl. I'm a 32 year-old time-rider and will always do my best to be Dorian Gray style (an unaging immortal). I like young girls and stay competitive because most people think I'm way younger than my age. And I want you to and all the bros and girls on this site to be too.

2 measures. So the chin to bottom of nose = nose to brow = forehead = twice the hair height.

First of all, I do agree with a lot of this stuff.. The only part I don't agree with is the hair stuff. First of all, the hat thing is an urban legend. Ask any doctor, and he will tell you the same, even tough this myth seems to make sense. The other factors do have a certain effect... but the greatest one of all is still Genetics.. if you're father is bald.. you're kinda screwed in the long run, unless you use products to dalay this genetic dispostision.

Anyway, my 2 cents.

Too little carbohydrate intake is what causes ketosis, not lack of protein.

Where are the hotties with 23 inch waists? :)

yes, if you don't eat enough carbs then your body starts using your protein for energy too. mainpoint, eat enough protein and carbs so what you build up stays.

some dudes just have a big forhead, doesn't mean they're going bald.

in fact an overshadowing forehead is what makes up a baby face. and makes you more trusting, study i read someplace i think it could have been on CNN when they occasionally put out scientific findings.

Can you explain this 2-2-2-1 thing more please. Where do you measure each point from exactly ?? the bottom of the nose where it meets skin or the tip ? when from where to where on your brows etc.

my head goes 2-2-2-2or3 cuz of my hair, but i think it works to make my head look bigger, since it is naturally small and out of proportion with the rest of my body

That's a pretty common trick. Small headed people have more hair, and people who want more emphasis to be placed on their body tend to have short or no hair (look at the majority of bodybuilders. Bald for (A) to avoid detection of steroids VIA hair sample and (B) it makes their body look that much bigger)

I never thought of that before. That is pretty clever.

I'm still confused by what "measures" means though.

It's from the bottom of the chin to the bottom of the nose.

To make it simpler, the distance from the bottom of the chin to the bottom of the nose should equal the distance from the bottom of the nose to the brow should equal the distance of the forehead. Let's take the hair part out because people have different styles. Traditionally, the hair was supposed to be 1/2 the height of the forehead.

He means measures as in "parts". For instance, if you take someone's head and divide it into 7 equal parts (no matter how long your head is, divide it equally into seven different parts that make up one "whole" head).

The chin to the bottom of your nose would be 2/7ths of your head, the nose to the brow 2/7 ths, the brow to the hairline 2/7ths, and from the hairline to the top of your head about 1/7th.

I just measured mine and my face is 2-2-2-1.75 :> maybe i should cut my hair to a 1. So what does this 2-2-2-1 actually mean?? Just that my head is symmetrical ?

2-2-2 means your face has symmetry, the 3rd definition from dictionary.com. There have been numerous studies that all girls look for are the 2 S's: security and symmetry.

sym·me·try ( P ) Pronunciation Key (sm-tr)
n. pl. sym·me·tries
1.Exact correspondence of form and constituent configuration on opposite sides of a dividing line or plane or about a center or an axis. See Synonyms at proportion.
2. A relationship of characteristic correspondence, equivalence, or identity among constituents of an entity or between different entities: the narrative symmetry of the novel.
3. Beauty as a result of balance or harmonious arrangement.

Try to hold on to your symmetry as you get older. The things mentioned in the original post and also advil and too much vitamin B make your forehead bigger.

i just measured from my nose to my chin and it's three inches and my brow to my hairline is 3 inches.

does that seem right? i've been told i'm good looking and a lot of girls have asked me out in the past rather then me asking them out.
