I'm a self-employed guy, too. basically, women out of college generally want to know their man isn't a jobless, video-game playing loser.

this has been confirmed to me by many women who made inquiries into what i did and upon learning confessed they were checking to make sure i wasn't unemployed.

The problem with this thread is that he is asking the women in here what they think. The fact that he is asking tells me that for him the opinion of the women matter more than his actual career choice.

Yeah, that is spot-on LatinoMan. Cuz if the girls don't like it, I'm definitely gonna sell my software business of ten years and become, oh, I dunno, a corporate attorney? Maybe an i-banker? Or maybe I'll put up a poll to find out what career path I should take.

Easy bro, I'm kidding ;-))

But what worries *me* is that I asked for _female_ opinions -- and you've already piped up twice. So before you go for number three, let me suggest that you lay off those 1/2 price lady's night drink specials... last I checked, the pink mimosa's were supposed to be for the girls. :cheer:

What is REALLY worrysome is that you come to a MEN's board and ask the 2 or 3 ladies for their opinion. Hmmmm...are they married or seeing "men that work at home"? Nope. None that post in here are. But should that be reason enough for you to change your mind?

Don't be insecure.

The problem is that it is a bit difficult to do any hard core work from home. Home is great for some guy who wants to do some information based job with no client face to face contact, but for everything else. Would you like to consult a brain surgeon who works from home. A lawyer who works from home?

A lot of women have a plan of being the housewife. They like the idea of having their home to themselves. They don't want a husband under foot. Which is why a lot of men have trouble adjusting to retirement. Their wives can't stand seeing so much of them.''

Also homes should be a place where you switch off and forget about work, which is why they always advise you to keep your work space separate in the home so that you psychologically separate it from your leisure space.

Peace and Quiet

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

I basically work from home. never has been a problem. if anything, my GF gets into "he's home.. it's cuddle time!" mode, which I mean is nice to have a beautiful woman following you around all day long, i thas it's perks.. but it gets old and you loos productivity.

I find myself now, like as in RIGHT now, going to places like starbucks to get work done. which is cool becuase if we ever do break up there is a gang of women here that seemed to be interested ;)

if she had a problem, she can go.

I work from home most of the time depending on what the project is. I do have to travel sometimes and some days I need to go into an office but in general I am at home and tend to work sometimes late at night. It works great for me, the problem with me is I do not have as much interaction with others because I work from home mainly. When I meet girls and tell them I have to be at work in the morning but it is just a conference call I am doing from my bed, they love it!

i prefer to be able to put my stuff down and lock the door and drive away from work at the end of a stressful day.
but that is just my take on it.
