So I've been looking for a new job and I notice most of my interviewers are women, I've started light flirting with them during the interview saying things like "you look younger then i expected" or i really love your accent (if they have a british or irish accent). It has worked wonders because I have been getting way more callbacks from being so friendly and flirty the whole time.

I can't believe i just discovered this, my last one was telling me how she prefers guys with beards when i asked her if i need to go clean shaven for this role.

Has anyone else tried using game on their potential employers during job interviews?

Unless the job pays close to 100k, it's a waste of time working for someone in this economy. Start your own business.

It could backfire if the interviewer hired you on the basis that something sexual is going happen between two of you.

All is fair game if you are sure you won't want the job.

Otherwise, don't sh!t where you eat.

I wouldn’t flirt, but definitely looksmaxx.

Female interviewers can definitely be swayed by looks.
This is good. Most of my female interviewers weren't attractive, save for maybe a 1st round HR Associate type interview where the person has no power to actually hire me but does have power to screen me out. Also, over the years, most of those HR type interviews were done over the phone so the only way I knew I was dealing with an attractive HR gal was by looking at her LinkedIn beforehand.

In the times when I have had a female interviewer in a latter round, they were anyone I deemed to be attractive.

I have made sure to look good.

I have interviewed for jobs since the onset of the pandemic. I have not had an in-person interview since the onset of the pandemic. I have had video interviews though. Video and face-to-face are not entirely the same. It is close.

don't sh!t where you eat.
This is the rule in white collar, career-type work where you need the job for an extended period. In low level bar/restaurant and store retail type work, you can date your co-workers. Bouncers date female bartenders/waitresses all the time and two bartenders will date each other. If you worked at a gym with hot, female personal trainers, you'd try to date them too. I think these situations don't apply to most men on SoSuave.

Has anyone else tried using game on their potential employers during job interviews?
Yes. More so in terms of looks and IDGAF attitude.

It’s a dangerous game. Hiring manager took a shine to me. Hired me & bumped me up to a manager position. Asked me out. Turns out she’s the big boss’s ex-GF! Being there was like walking through a minefield.

Not wise, you don't want to risk losing a potentially good job because of inappropriate behavior. They'll be lots of time to game chicks; doesn't have to be on the clock or when you are trying hard to get a job.

That said if you are handsome and charming you can sway women. This happened to me with my first corporate job after college. I had one interview with two unit managers, they were both female. At one point when they asked me a question my mind went blank and it got really awkward (I felt). One of them just said something like "maybe you'll remember later" to take the pressure off. I ended up getting the job and the woman that made my comment was my manager. She liked me - I had a good relationship with her but eventually lost touch after I moved out of state.

Some light flirting might be OK to help you get the job (aka just turning on charm). But actually trying to get with the interviewer could majorly backfire. Don’t know what kind of industry you’re in or where you’re living but this could follow you around if you crash and burn an interview because you’re trying to bang your interviewer.

There are plenty of women out there. You don’t need (nor should you want) to take a chance with this. Not to mention if you got the job you’ll be working with this woman. No thanks.

Jesus Christ.

OP you seem to be going out of your way to destroy your career.

Men, do NOT flirt with female hiring managers. Be cordial and professional. Your reputation is everything. Don’t fvck with it.
