Hey everyone,

I just started taking flax oil. This stuff is amazing for you! I just can't find a good place to buy my next bottle. At $8 a bottle I can only get about two weeks worth. That's not good at all and if it that expensive it'll be tough to keep buying it. Anybody know of a place where I can get a good deal on it?

Flax Oil is a lot like L-Glutamine. They both won't stand out as the top supplement in your cabinet but they work behind the scenes to make everything more well-rounded.

Nothing is going to stand out as much as Creatine and Protein. Those are the building blocks of a great weight training routine. But I would almost throw money down that if you took everything for 8 weeks and stopped taking Flax and Glutamine the next 8, you'd see a difference.

You'll find Flax Oil here pretty cheap ...... about $7 a month.

Go to WebMD, search for articles on Flax, read the bad things, stop taking it...increases risk of prostate cancer. Make the switch to Fish Body Oil for similar effects, less risk. I don't know how you can say it is amazing, anyways, because it is more for a long term effect...it's not like crack. Probably a placebo effect.

Thanks man but it'll end up being closer to $15 a month. Only 16 servings for a 8 oz bottle. I suppose if I really want the improvements you mention I should just bite the bullet and pay. I'm the same way for Glutamine and CLA. They sound good... but I'm not pulling in that much money.

I guess I was too fast with my "amazing" proclamation. I've just read so many things about it that say it's amazing. I've only been on it for a day now. lol. I have read tons of good stuff though. Also, Diesel recommends it. I will check out those articles though.

Don't take it everyday.... every-other day is fine. And don't believe the BS that is causes prostate cancer. You aren't taking it for the next 25 years. You're taking it to bulk up so even if it did increase your chances you're not even taking enough to hurt yourself.

I can't stand the taste so I use cod liver oil instead. Any source of quality essential fatty acids will work. The cod oil is way cheaper too. Two-three dollars a month. It comes in capsule form too if you don't like the taste of fish.

Omega-3 fatty acids

Are absolutely necessary for optimum health.

I've been taking flax oil and other Omega 3s for over 10 years, and my skin is in such good shape that I get asked for ID more often than not, though I'm over 40. Over time, you will notice.

If your flax oil tastes real bad, it's rancid, and should be taken back to the store. It should taste pleasantly bland, and slightly nutty. Only buy it if it's in dark bottles and kept refrigrated or in a freezer.
