I call girls a lot but i have never asked a girl on a date before. So i decided to try for the first time tonight. I didnt get good results, actually, i thought the results were pretty much terrible. And im still kinda shaky even after the call, but that doesnt matter. Atleast i got the balls to do it.
First call: The girl has a funny name (Sarah Simcochi or something, people make fun of her since it souinds like ****, tho) so i was going to play off of that.
Me: Hey, is this mrs. Simcock? (emphasizing the ****)
Her: uhhh, no i think you have the wrong number
Me: This is Sarah SimCOCK right?
Her: Sorry, wrong number, *Hangs up*
Ok, that was embarrassing, i felt like a frothing piece of turd. I wanted to stop and not call the next girl. But in the end i decided that improvement only comes with a)Persistence b)Practice c)Humiliation
Me: Hey is this Mrs. Cook? (Her last name isnt really Cook, I just used it cause its the last name of a guy who hooked up with her once and she hates him)
Her:uuhhhh, no I think you have the wrong number
Me: Are you sure this isnt Anna Cook?
Her: This is Anna, who is this
Me: (laughing) This is brak, whats up
Her: (laughing a bit) ohh haha nothin much (but she soiunded more confused, like "why is this guy calling me?")
Me: Not much, listen, im pretty busy this weekend but i was wonderin if you wanted to hang out since i havent seen you in awhile
Her: ohh, yea, ok... (sounded a littlte more weirded out)
Me: Alright, im really busy on friday so maybe saturday we can hang out
Her: well i dont have anything planned right now so you can call me on the weekend.
Me: OK, bye
Damn that was torture. I think i should have gotten more balls to just ask her out to dinner, but i was kinda scared of formally asking for a date. Nevertheless, i have to look at the positive. Right now im trying to convince myself that shes a person who has no effect on my improvement and that i am just learning how to withstand rejection/awkwardness.
I have one question though: Should i call the 2nd girl on saturday or, since i messed up, should i just not call her at all this weekend?
