First phone call after # close - Got any good tips?

Hi all,

I managed to close a few times after Sarging and now the dreaded First phone call time is coming.

DO you guys have any good tips on how to approach this call? I need info such as:

-How long is the optimal wait period between closing the # and calling?
- When are the best times and days to call?
- What would be fun activities to set up during the call when setting up a date?
- How to approach this call if the # was the result of a cold approach

and any other tips that would increase the success rate for setting up a date.

I'm surprised you haven't asked one of us to make the call for you!

You already got her number, so she must be 50% interested. Now its time to show her what kind of man you are, so get creative. We have no idea where you live, what is available, what your style is.

Quit being so chicken and just call her already.

Look eventually you'll have to develop a better attitude towards this whole first call thing but for now I'll give you an idea of some things you can say...

"I am going out to eat, but I don't like eating alone.
So how about you come along?

"You'll keep me company when I go shoping for grocries tomorrow/today (whenever)."
I like this one because it gets her to start thinking of you two as a couple without expending two much effort on your part.

"I'd love to hear more of this, but I NEED to get some coffee so I have
to go to the Starbucks on blah street and blah street... let's continue
the conversation there."

- Keep the converstation short
- Use a time constraint ("Hey, real quick, I have to get back to what I was dong in a minute etc..)
- Don't explain to her who you are, if she remembers you then she'll make the effort to prove it.
- Use a stopwatch if you have to and set it for 5 minutes (after a while you'll get the hang of it and you won't need it. I stole this one from "The Rules" one of the most enlighting and scariest books of all time)
- Try to end the converstation when her intrest is really high
- Wait a day to call, its an example of being persistant...the right way
- Use a deep resonating voice
- Relax, don't try to build rapport with her, make her build it with you that way she'll be investing more in the interaction and feel less compeled to drop it at a moments notice
- If you really want to find out her intrest level purposely drop the converstation and see if she starts it up again(might be better to do this one in person) Get used to being comfortable with silence its a major DHV.

Thank you brothers for you wise advice and encouragement. This is an issue I have to face since in most of my relationships with friends and past gfs I have always been the passive one, till this days I never call anyone. That is got to change, starting now, I got a few #s, I'll spread the calls along the wekend though I am afraid it may be to late to call, since iis a holiday weekend and they might be bussy I'l be hanging out with friends and I don't want to look like I don't have a life.

Am I being a AFC or is it wise to wait till the long weekend ends??

You don't want to look like you don't have a life........but you also can't fake like you have one either, she can tell buddy.

It's funny, she HAS A LIFE, is out living it....and you're sitting at home wondering what to say to her on a phone call. Life is too short for this, go out and enjoy life to the fullest. Stop approaching one girl, approach 20. Increase your masculinity, form beliefs that are similar to that of a alpha male so you behave like one, and thus become attractive. Then go out and approach a lot of women. Approach 15, get 10 numbers, fvck 6. Stop living your life like this. I was reading a story where a guy was doing construction, and a car hit him on the road and he died instantly. I hate hearing stories like that....but you know what it does? It makes me wanna take every damn second I have on this earth, and live it to the fullest. Be the best I can be in business, in my love life, in everything.

Go out and live. Tomorrow you might be on your death bed trying to catch air, and when you get there, allll you'll think about is "what if I actually did live my life?" But it'll be too late to do anything about it.

Maaaan, just make the call.

Tell her you want to grab some lunch or drinks with her, no need to be elaborate with lines, it's a natural process... you know, you like a chick, she's interested so gives you her number, you call that number and go out to find out a little more about her...

If you're struggling to make the first call, then just think of it as an approach... don't think about the consequence, just throw yourself into it, but have your goal firmly engrained into your mind... you're making the call to set up a date, so have the shortest conversation about how she's doing then tell her you want to go to lunch with her

I try and make the call 2 minutes at the most, setting up a time and place to meet up. Remember, for a girl you are *INTERESTED* in, make the calls as short as possible; keep the conversations for when you are on the date(s).
