First Day of College

Move-in day. Any tips you guys on what is up and whats to do? besides moving in and signing up for classes i mean. Make the rounds on the floors and get some #'s was my plan. Throw a little get together in my room that night of all my new friends.

btw, i don't have a roommate.

For those of you already been to college? Frosh get any love from the older hb's?

Pretty much, go around and make friends. Also go around campus and find out what all there is to do around there. Free time is a killer mostly, if the place is boring or you don't know what is around.

Congrats on Northwestern, great school man...I'm a few hours south of you at Wash U in St. Louis.


Anyways, just talk to everybody, go to all the orientation events, be as social as possible. After everyone is settled in your room, walk around the floor and introduce yourself to everyone...Don't worry, no one will find this unusual at all. At night head over to the frat houses and see if any parties are going on.

yeah, i think i've got a pretty good idea what's going on that first week i can get a good grasp of things.

thanks to the replies. this topic isn't dead yet though. i'm sure i'm not the only one here heading off for the first time.

lol btw, no one answered the question about frosh gettin lovin from the older hb's. i'm guessing the answer is "depends on how much of a dj you are"

Pretty much. Though it IS easier to get some from an older chick than most people think, with or without moves.

It's too easy to get with an older chick at college. Just run your game. And on move in day, just introduce yourself to EVERYBODY. I don't care if they don't look like they'll be in your clique or not. Just keep introducing youself and crack jokes. They'll probably have activities for you to do, so go to those. Don't worry about throwing a party the first night, it's better to get some guy friends first. Then go the first few frat parties and introduce yourself to everyone. $20 says you won't go home alone....
