first date

Aight everyone

I have a first date set up for saturday. However, I have no idea what to do. Cinema = sitting in silence for a few hours. not good for a first date. I find it a bit awkward even when I've been out with a girl quite a few times. The other option is go for a drink. but this involves sitting with her, just me and her, for a few hours. If convo runs a bit dry, this could go pear shaped as well. I'm not a massive talker. I can obviously hold a convo, but just me and some girl I don't know at all, I dunno...

Any other ideas/input?

Personally, I like to take them to a fun spot that serves food and has an event or play area. Something like a karaoke night and trivia night, or a mini-golf/bowling/billiards area to supplement a good dining experience.

Reason being is that these things can get both of you physically or mentally charged, making for a pretty memorable night that can possibly kick start something more that evening.

Do a search of all the spots in your town, and check out what they have for that evening. It's a good idea and an excellent diversion to help shroud your verbal communication deficiencies.

Agreed, playing pool would be nice, like you said go get drinks...just keep her talking, the alcohol will do the rest lol. Don't get too drunk though. Find a cool part of town with a lot of trendy shops and whatnot, maybe an outdoor concert, a carnival, that sort of thing.
