k im posting this here cuz this forum gets the most viewers.

basically what i wanted to do is ask this girl to prom tonight by writing 'prom?' or whatever with fire. like on the street with rubbing alchohol then like it on fire.

first test failed cuz it just ran everywhere you couldnt really make the words. so i thought i could use strips of old jeans and soak them in the alchohol and light those.

i just tried it once with the letter 'r' and it kinda worked but im not sure that the letter is gonna be that clear, its just kinda a big flame.

im about to try it making the letters bigger so its clearer hopefully that works but if anyone has done this kinda thing before or knows how to could you give some advice thanks

Ok, I have the perfect solution to your problem.

But first, don't you think this is a bit AFC and extreme? Where is she going to be viewing this, from her bedroom window?

I am just picturing someone calling the cops, you burning a house down, or her looking about her window thinking her home is one fire.... this sounds like one of those Ben Stiller movies where something well intentioned goes horribly wrong.... and not only do you not get the date, but people are talking about you for years to come... and not in a good way.

I'm pretty sure a girl would prefer to be asked out face to face. The only way I'd ever consider doing something even remotely similar to this, if it was a g/f or someone I knew well... like maybe asking her to marry you would be acceptable. But otherwise, this could be viewed as pretty odd behavior.

Basically, it's a low flame cooking fuel that's used at weddings, camping, etc to keep food warm. It's like a thick gel or putty that you can easily form into legible letters. It's not going to give you a 3 foot flame or anything, but if you use enough of it, it will burn brightly (especially at night), and not get so big that the words aren't legible. It's cheap and easily obtainable. It's also not so flammable that it's high dangerous. And small quantities will burn for hours.

The most difficult thing for you to do is going to be finding a way to apply to a concrete surface neatly, because if you smear it too much, the remaining film will burn too. This is a minor problem though. I am sure any hardware store will have some type of apparatus you can load the gel into, and then dispense it, like a caulk or grease gun.

Just be aware that if you let it burn to long to the point where the portion of the gel is contact with the concrete, it might end up saying "Prom?" on her sidewalk for the next few months. Her parents might not be too thrilled about that, and neither will you if she turns you down

its actually not that crazy lol, and the over project is fun for me anyways its gonna be at night at my church in the middle of the parking lot, theres not gonna be any cars in that section, so far its easy to put out too.

lol, well.... the test worked. in actual execution, my friend forgot to move it out of the puddle of alchohol so the ground caught too and we ended up kinda showing the barely preceptable outline of the words and i was all like "go to prom with me " and shes all like "....why?" and i didnt see that coming at all, alot of people were like :O lol. anyways the people who saw it thought it was great and were telling her too and crap

she texted me with like 'wanna go but were just going as friends right' kinda deal and i havent replied yet. shes 15 and is 'avoiding relationships' which makes it hard :/ and i think she was surprised.. i dunno lol but whatever it was still fun regardless

Well seeing as how it all worked out sweet, yea go to prom "as friends" but you get the chance isolate her and kiss her etc ........ I'm not going to tell you to try and get into her knickers cause she's way underage.

But at you age learning the game and how to isolate and escalate is a good thing and tools that'l come in handy later in life.

your over analyzing mate, anytime a girl wants to go somewhere with you there is at least a slight chance she wants to get sexual with you. Women say one thing but mean something else altogether.

his best bet would be to try and isolate and escalate the touchy feely stuff, if it works good job if not back up and try again. He's young so let him learn all he can before he hits his 20's
