In nearly every thread I've read, one suggestion was to watch Fight Club. I just watched it. I think it was ok, had some good points in it, but it didn't live up to the reputation it seems to have on here.

So, my question, why do you guys like Fight Club?
 

What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.

You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.

I hope people can answer that question for me as well.

Good movie, but I think the philosophy behind it is overrated and pretty much ****ty.

But that's just my humble opinion.

Sure we'll give this a go.

I've always thought it was the mentality he portrays. Just the cool, collected guy that immedietely earns the respect of those around him, and the way he acts with that girl.

To fully understand Fight Club you gotta watch it again and read in between the lines. One of the main subtle themes is Jack transforming from a boy to a man through Tyler Durden. It also has a masculine/feminine theme to it. Although it is a bit dark at times.

I find it funny how Brad Pitt portrays someone who doesn't think possessions and money mean anything. Having grown tired of Hollywood, i now focus on reading books!

Fight Club was a good movie, but I would have liked it alot better if they hired some average joes off the street (actors of course) to fill the roles.


BTW, has anyone ever met Brad Pitt in real life? I've heard that he is scrawny and not as tall as he claims to be.
Everyone here, seems to think he has the ultimate body in fight club, but to me he just looked like a skinny guy with some tone and low body fat.
