I poked a female who was a friend of a friend because I thought she was kinda cute.

She requests me as a friend. I play it cool by waiting a few days before accepting (perhaps my mistake?) She's a nursing major, and I send her this message:

I'm gonna direct a movie called Not Another Nursing Major. Wanna star in it? Its going to be funny as hell. You get to walk around in uncomfortable white outfits, smell like disinfectant, and dodge out of the way as dirty old men try to make passes at you while you change their bedsheets.
It'll make your career, baby! I'll have my people call your people, and we'll do lunch. Ciao!

Just a guess: maybe the image you pictured is too .. negative?
dirty...uncomfortable..disinfectant, bedsheets...
Maybe she is not just into that type of humor?
