I was listening to a few of the popular songs these days that "Whatever you like" song is something. basically encourages girls to expect expensive gifts from guys, and encourages guys to buy expensive gifts for girls.

looks like we're raising a generation of gold diggers

Ok, first off, who gives a vacumn cleaner as a anniversary gift? You deserve to be in the doghouse for being so idiotic as to think it will be recieved well. Secondly, what's the ratio of guys to girls in this class?

This actually reminds me of back in HS media studies, the teacher was VERY left wing and she'd constantly try to force those beliefs on us. It's sad to think that alot of guys are totally being brainwashed by this ****.

Feminism these days has a different de facto meaning. The modern meaning is the concious or unconcious advancement of women at the expense of men. Personally, I'm all for equal rights, but some things in society are grossly in favour of women (as are some things grossly in favour of men), and feminism is the label for taking advantage of those things.
