I've just bought an XBOX again and I guess I didn't notice this before but almost every damn game I play has some stupid *****, whining, and *****ing and ordering around the main characters... Maybe that's because my wife is a super feminine asian and very supportive. I have yet to see her archetype represented in a game.
Devil's Cartel (Army of Two): The secondary character and whole point of the story revolves around this one yappy mexican broad who is tough as nails and tells you to suck it up every 5 minutes.
Crysis 3: The leader of the revolution is a woman who is constantly on your comms calling you 'hardware' and telling you that you don't matter and you'll respect her. At first you don't like it but then eventually your character says "I've grown to like her"... later on she tells this tough warrior guy when he's having trouble "suck it up". The main computer AI is also an older woman who barks out orders to all the soldiers.
Bulletstorm: The whole point of this game is to rescue a butch soldier who naggs, *****es and insults you while you are trying to play. The main character is endlessly trying to impress her and she punches and beats him up while throwing insults on him and telling him she doesn't need him.
Halo: Cortana is endlessly nagging the Chief as to what he should and shouldn't be doing.
Fallout 3: At the end the brotherhood of steel is run by a woman who tells you to go into a reactor (and die) to shut it off. You have two decisions, you can selflessly shut it down and create a better life for her... you die. OR you can choose the bad ending and you send her in to do it but get pretty much the same ending with bad music. She of course is distrustful, *****es and nags you the whole way through once you meet her.
XCOM: The scientist is a german woman who nags the commander once in awhile.
XCOM The Bureau (the New game): A butchy military girl gives orders to the main agent and he 'grows to like her' cause she's 'fiesty'.
Fable 3: The main resistance fighter is a butchy black woman with dreadlocks who draws up all the plans and is always standing up for whats right.
Fable 2: The secondary character is a strong woman with a hammer that follows you around and nags you.
Prototype: The secondary character is your super smart, hip, goth sister who is the brains of the operation and you take orders from.
Portal 2: The Computer AI is a sadistic mothering figure who is constantly trying to torture the players, *****es and nags and makes passive aggressive remarks and digs at you.
Aliens Colonial Marines: Quest centers around trying to find a cure for this butch black marine who treats you and her love interest like sh1t.
Dark Void: Your partner is a military agent (woman) who is also a scientist and is naggy and whiny throughout the entire game.
Saints Row: The secondary character is a bad criminal mastermind (woman) who nags and *****es about your skill while you try to save her.
Terminator Salvation: Main scientist and secondary character is a freedom fighting woman who, surprise, nags and *****es about your skill and is generally distrustful of you, consistently barks orders at you.
Half Life 2: The scientists daughter is a black, freedom fighting rough girl smart aleck who spends the entire game ordering you around.
Fuse: 4 super soldiers two men and two women fight to acquire alien technology, the men spend the story taking orders from the super tough ninja-cyber women characters.
Space Pirates VS Zombies: The ship's scientist is a *****y woman who is constantly back talking the commander and telling him how stupid he is.
Command & Conquer: Somehow a woman is in charge of GDI's operations and she is of course the brains and your 'commanding officer'.
I can hardly think of a game today that doesn't have some tough, smart alecky white or black woman telling men what they should do and nagging the main characters skills and whatever. Either this is a cultural thing or its being planned to re-educate the masses. Can you imagine if you were playing super mario bros and the princess was constantly *****ing and nagging everytime you made a jump or tried something new. Its a new thing in movies, tv, video games... there's always a smart alecky woman who is the brains of the operation, ordering around a strong silent hero type... and somewhere at the end the man falls in love with this ***** and they live happily ever after.
Something wrong here.
First of all, I don't know how many times I've said to myself... if I were the main character and everything revolved around me getting from point a to point b...and there was this naggy piece of ****, *****ing and complaining... I would simply drop my **** and bug out. What would she do then? Use her girl power to do it herself? Or nag at me more to pick up the gun and so on and so forth... why the fvk would I want to complete a mission for a woman like this.... and to top it off the villains are always the ones who 'don't respect women' and don't take her crap. At one point in devil's cartel the villain blows the head off the woman... my god, what a relief that was... then the main character spends the entire game 'getting revenge' for said *****y girl who never really showed an romantic interest in him.
What message are they trying to send to young minds?
-Women are natural leaders
-Women are the brains
-It is natural for women to disrespect men
-You are nothing without a woman authority figure
-If you just put up with enough bs, you too can have a girlfriend and live happily ever after
