Because if our entire relationship is "come over and fvck", which it became, I feel a bit like I'm backsliding. I enjoy going to nice places and doing interesting things once in a while, and I want a girl I enjoy spending time with, not a free prostitute. Not singling you our specifically. The western world DOES **** women up in a lot of ways, there are studies about the frequencies of psychological disorders and such. I don't really disagree with your main points either -- such as throwing money at women in a doomed attempt to impress them -- just the fact you are undercutting other explanations. It's the difference between "some girls are X and you should understand it", versus "this is the way the world is, your experiences should be understood in this way". Isolation/timing IS critical, but so is the rest -- it forms part of the opportunity-capability-intent equation. Being attractive/competitive is part of that too.

Not really looking to flame you since you are saying valuable things, but overgeneralizing or trying to match your experience to a theory (which is driven by a psychological need for understanding and moreover, control) is a VERY common tendency among guys who want to improve their success with women. I might have looked for answers a few years ago... now I mostly remind myself not to jump to conclusions. Being oblivious is disastrous but you can jump too far down the rabbit hole here (example, burroughs).

Think about the General Discussion forum.. half the questions are "she did X, what does it mean?" To be like, "I don't really care what motivates her" is a much different attitude, much more rare, and much more intriguing to women. Why waste your time wracking your brain for explanations when it's easier to find a girl who's less work and more fun?

At least, that is MY experience... yours may be completely different so I wouldn't blame you for having different conclusions.
