female managers are more critical than male counterparts?

do you guys notice female managers tend to be more critical toward male employees ?

I had conversations with several of my buddies who concur with my view. Female managers are more more picky about an employee performance. They are like shadows over your shoulder looking for every mistake you make.

I HATE female bosses!

Working for them is just as bad as dating them. If you make an error, they are all over you. If you do well, they think you're after their job and get nasty. (And OH YES! Their monthy cycle comes into play in terms of how nasty they are going to be.)

Guys are pretty steady unless they are getting stress from upper management.

I've had three female bosses. 1st. She was not management material, didn't know what she was doing, could be a straight up harpy *****. 2nd. Laid back black woman, the only problem she kept hitting on me, she knew her job and made sure you knew yours and did it. 3rd and current. Very competent , kinda quiet, kinda non confrontational, very smart. Let's us do what we want as long as we meet deadlines and don't cause her problems.

She was a petty person. She was jealous of anyone who had higher education than hers.

WHen they have no education (manner of speaking, nothing wrong with a hs diploma) they make up for it with the worst attitude you can imagine...there are exceptions of course.

Are they any more worse than incompetent/arrogant/nitpicky male bosses? Come on guys. Most of my female bosses are pretty laid back as well....it all depends on the individual.

I was told by a co-worker that was moving onto better things to never ever work for a woman boss. Even his wife agreed adamantly. It was hilarious at the time, but also true. From what I saw, people who worked for women bosses seemed to be more stressed and it appeared as though they were worried they could be canned at any random moment for any random reason.

Obviously this isn't true of ALL women because there are exceptions and not to mention there are men that are just huge b1tches, but something to keep in mind.

I don't care if the woman has HS education. However when her education level is far below the job position, the woman intellectual short comings show up clearly. It really irritates me that management promote stupid women to managerial position.

Female managers are more prone to emotional mood swings and irrational worries which sometimes they take out on subordinates. Not to say that men don't do this as well. It's usually if they're under pressure to show results but have to delegate the tasks to subordinates. Worse still, sometimes they are unaware of the process to accomplish a task and therefore can't appreciate the fact that sometimes it requires more time or more resources.

The best way to handle female managers is take her out of the decision making process by knowing her mood swings. This is a subtle art that takes time to master.
