my friend james and I go out almost every nite together and pick up chicks....problem is he starts talking and doesnt stop....then the girls start a 1 on 1 conversation with him and hes got them hook line and sinker...he even told this girl he met last nightthat he ****ed a girl that very same night about 2 hrs before she met him and had her already giving him head scratches and her already asking for his number!!!???!? wtf...yeh and shes like you better call me everynite before you goto bed and tell me goodnight. daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyymmmm...im just sitting there like what the **** man...i have the wheels too....so everytime we go someplace i have to pick him up and bring him somewhere. but anyways what am i gonna do about this...i want to be able to pimp girls like my friend!

That is, as long as he respects leaving you your share, e.g. I had a friend once who came up to chicks I opened, entered the convo and just would not stop, ruining MY game, and he was not even successful himself, annoying the girl 95 percent of the time.
If he's like this and you can't make kinda agreement, which both of you commit to, forget him.

Why dont u just take your friend james aside, talk to him, tell him how u feel about the situation, tell him what u want, and work TOGEATHER on getting chicks. I bet that he doesnt even realise that he is "stealing" your "game"... so like it was mentioned in a previous post by Soma, if the 2 of you work togeather, u will be able to accomplish alot more, and when i say togeather, i mean TOGEATHER, not just 1 of u do all the talking etc... before the 2 of you go to meet these chicks, make a "strategy" if u need to (so that he wont "get carried away") and then work togeather on getting those chicks.
I think another thing that u need to work on is your confidence, dont be affraid to speak, and if your friend James doesnt stop, then "push in" and say what you want to say. Sometimes u need to take control, like he seems to do every time
Otherwise... just dont be scared to talk to girls, the more u do it, the more comfortable it will become, till you will get to the point where u can say things like James sais to these chicks without shame or embarrasment. (Eg: that he F*cked this 1 chick 2 hours in advance) You see, these kind of things guys are normally scared/shy to talk about with a woman that he just met, but if u DO spk about things like that, and ARE open with them, this will immediatelly work to your advantage, and will create interest in you.

You and your friend need to come to some sort of understanding. He's obviously better than you with women so ask for his help. You have access to a valuable resource here. Work as a team.
