took me around 14 months.but im a genetic freak and i read so many pirated books about lifting that if pipa or sopa were enacted,ide be in a liberal deathcamp by now.
my calves are 18" and i rarely train them.
Getting a beach body is fvcking hardwork.it takes a lot of dedication.i used to hit the gym during exams,flu,suicidal episodes and after 3 way sex with two german galz.
U shud hit 315 on d deadlift by ur first year of lifting.

And what set/rep range did you use/are you using for the deadlifts?

5x5 like the Stronglifts program, or 3x8?

Also, should I train on deadlifts every single session (I do 3 sessions a week), or is this more detrimental than it is good?

Deadlift once a week, go heavyI haven't tried those methods so I can't vouch on them but I just hit it as hard and heavy as I could.

SIstarted on singles and raised the weight every rep. then went for doubles and then triples. Now I just hit it to failure raise the weight and hit it again.

took me a year to hit double my bodyweight. It escalated quickly but then plateaud and took hella effort to move heavier :)
