Fat on my pecs!

I am a very toned and musclular person. I have a visible six pack and I am in shape. I have fat on my lower pecs. I think it is because of my genetics. I have always had them. I really want to get rid of it though. Are there any supplements out there that can maybee help me get rid of this? I don't want to resort to lypo.

do some decline presses to build up the muscle on the bottom of your pecs

You can't isolate different parts of the pecs. The pecs work as one.

daman, you're right that it is genetics that cause that if you're already pretty lean. You just have more fat to lose, really. You might try some topical yohimbine products like Lipoderm-Y for site-specific fatloss.

You can isolate or emphasize the lower, higher and outta pectual areas of your chest.

Those creams will do as much as doing more repetitions to tone more..NOTHING!!

You can't completely isolate ur upper, middle or lower chest but you can shift the emphasis of what your pressing is working by doing them in an incline or decline position. Doing decline bench press will emphasize your lower pecs. So give 'em a try.

There are not "lower pecs" and "upper pecs," and you cannot isolate them. The chest works as one muscle. Just like you can't isolate the different heads of the triceps. They work as one muscle.

With that said, I believe declines were shown to stimulate the pecs more overall, but inclines were better for hypertrophy, or something for that effect. I may be totally wrong, but the point is that each angle has its use.

And Sentrility, don't make such unsubstantiated claims such as "those creams" not working. Most are just topical diuretics, yes. Lipoderm-Y, Yohimburn, and other transdermal yohimbine products DO work. Go to www.avantlabs.com ...Maybe Par still has his original writeup on it.

Kdaddy is wrong here, yes they work as one muscle, but shifting the type of lift stimulates different striations of the muscle differently. If this wasn't the case, you could just do one generic exercise for each muscle....Do some heavy decline to start your chest workout, good luck

You CANNOT stimulate hypertrophy of any different part of the pec. Your pec shape is determined by genetics. It will grow as one muscle. If that were true, you could grow huge "lower" pecs and tiny little upper pecs. That's not possible.

If you disagree, I suggest that you devote your life to doing that and when you have results showing it, post pics. Otherwise, I'm going to suggest science to these guys and not have them mislead themselves doing crazy **** to try to target different parts of their pecs.

This is all along the same lines as "shaping" your biceps, as in to widen them, make them peak more, or making them longer. The shape is determined by genetics.

though k-daddy is very informative and usually knows what he's talking about, I'd have to disagree with him on this topic. I'd also have to disagree with the advice from the other members.

Doing inclines will emphasize the development of the upper chest (Just as doing flat bench presses and declines will emphasize the lower portion of the chest). The sagginess you have in your lower chest is from overdeveloping your lower chest. I'd be willing to bet you always start your chest workout with the flat bench press. Start doing the incline press first with a barbell, and then do either a flat bench press with dumbbells or regular flyes.

What you are describing is similar to what I had experienced. I now start the majoirty of my chest workouts with the incline press, and I no longer have the droopiness in my chest. The overall appearance of the chest from my starting with inclines is also nicer.

ABSOLUTLEY NEVER DO LOWER CHEST OR PECS AS YOUR 1ST
EXCERCISE

upper chest or flat bench press should go 1st and 2nd followed by lower then by pecs

you dont nececarily have to do them all but you should be switch off every once in a while
