I been drinking coke every day for years now, I'm not overweight in the slightest bit, my teeth are better than they've ever been, and I very rarely get sick (every couple of years) and that only lasts a few days.

My brother, has pretty much the same diet as me because we live in the same house, except he doesn't drink coke. His teeth are filthy as hell, he stinks like the plague, hes overweight and unfit, plus he gets sick a lot more than me. Hell the whole family does, I'm the only one that avoids it.

My conclusion: Coke is good for me. :D

What's healthier than both is skipping the pizza and coke altogether. Diet coke is 'healthier' than coke in the same sense that it is 'healthier' to inhale tobacco smoke than marijuana smoke.

Skipping both would be ideal, but we know that self-control is a skill only few decide to obtain. Diet coke is the healthier choice in that scenario. Not only would regular coke increase her caloric intake, it would also raise her blood sugar.

I learned about somatotypes in college because a good deal of my classes dealt with physiology. So, to back up what I said...
Excerpt from “What body type are you?”

In the 1940s, William H. Sheldon introduced his theory of Somatypes in two major works, The Varieties of Human Physique (1940) and The Varieties of Human Temperament: A Psychology of constitutional Differences (1941). His theory proposed three basic body types and associated them with a sets of personality characteristics. Today, Sheldon’s description of three body types has become central to much of the literature in weight loss, exercise and body-building.
Excerpt from Wikipedia dictionary entry for “somatotype”

He named his somatotypes after the three germ layers of embryonic development: the endoderm, that develops into the digestive tract, the mesoderm, that is to become muscle, heart and blood vessels, and the ectoderm that is to form the nervous system.

The endomorphic body type is centered around the digestive system and is easily overweight. The endomorphic person also has a visceral temperament, which means that they are tolerant, love comfort and luxury, and are extroverted - in short he or she loves food and people.

The mesomorphic body type is centered around muscle and the circulatory system and has well developed muscles. The mesomorphic person has a somatotonic temperament, and is courageous, energetic, active, dynamic, assertive, aggressive, competitive, and often a risk taker.

The ectomorphic body type is centered around the brain and nerves. These people are slim. The ectomorfic person has a cerebrotonic temperament, and is artistic, sensitive, apprehensive and introverted. A more negative way to put it is that he or she is highly self-aware and socially restrained.
(All around, anywhere I go, I find this is startlingly true)
Excerpt from “Body Types: 3 different body types require different diet and exercise”

Genetics determine our body types and hence the body shape we develop from birth through to adulthood. We cannot change our body type we can only make the most of what mother nature gave us. Getting the most out of our body types depends on our diet and exercise regime.
Excerpt from “The Ectomorph Puzzle”

Take a look around you next time you are out and you'll see that most of the North American population appears to be endomorphic. This explains (in part) the widespread occurrence of obesity in Canada and the USA. Endomorphs love carbohydrates and are ruled by emotions connected to the pleaser of eating sugar and starch. Sure, everyone may occasionally enjoy something smooth, chewy and crunchy, loaded with sugar and fat, but it's the endomorphs who find that work, sleep and fitness serve as only temporary distractions from their constant craving.

Then there’s the ectomorph. We all know them (maybe you are one)... the people who can’t gain weight no matter how much they eat and laze around. If you are an ectomorph, you are often mentioned in conversation as a miracle. Because it’s a spectacle to watch someone like you endlessly gulp down food without gaining weight.
And, finally, an extensive critique affirming Sheldon’s work can be found at “The World of Somatotypes.” Tracking the Elusive Human, Vol. 2, Chapter 6.

Your body type determines how large of an appetite you have. People with endomorphic bodies have a predisposition towards high consumption and sweets, propelling them towards consuming those very foods which are unhealthy for them, whereas by comparison people with ectomorphic bodies have minimal interest in sweets.

You might wanna quote that for me from a website, because i happen to know that a perfect endomorph, if never touches a weight, will simply be someone predisposed to gaining fat (ie slow metabolism) and most will be around waist and legs hence making them look like a pear.

Obesity is simply lack of self-control.
