This is awesome going man. Sounds like a mad routine with the best frame ever - focus on your growth.
I read "Be here now" by Ram Das.
Around the same time, i had a wild psychedelic trip. Focus thereafter was on mibd, body, spirit.
Interestingly enough, i had been doing the Wim Hoff breathing techniques at a basic level prior to the pandemic kicking off.
I can see my six pack on a full stomach following my last meal as my window shuts. Fasting is next level. I have to say, the mental toughness is a challenge but, I got use to it.
For insomnia, though rare with a great diet and routine, zinc supplements seem to help. I supplement with zinc magnesium aspartate for better sleep quality.
I have taken sleeping pills eons ago. The doctor prescription was a benzo but my grandfather was taking it who warned me not to given the addictive nature. I opted for over the counter sleeping pills. I might have been 18. I have not taken pills the past decade. I have had success with melatonin and or dream water (5htp, gaba, melatonin). On fast, i sleep well.
Furthermore, i bought Why we Sleep by Matt Walker. My sleep has been 10x better. I have issues since pandemic with the gym closed. I have been training till failure and its helped.
Some studies are conflicted whether it's simply placebo, but I've noticed a strange effect of the vividness of my dreams. Do research on it.
I noted lucid and vivid dreams.
I have sleep paralysis and experience with AP/hemisync. Its ****ed. I have never did a sleep test. If i had i would expect a series of things. I once again had sleep apnea. This is common in obesity and heart disease but also individuals with a longer neck. I now side lay. I have no issues anymore. Alternatively, i sleep on a arm which is nasty.
I used to do 50 push ups x 4. Noticed it helped with endurance not strength or mass, switched to one hand pushups - 6 x 5, better hypertrophy.
I have gymnastics rings and a power setup like rollo tomassi. Dips, chin ups, and a few kettlebells. I am a noob with kettlebells so nothing intense atm. Mostly goblet squats, lunges l, German volume etc. No snatches lol.
I'm planning to get resistance bands as soon as possible for my home workouts #lockdownsucksass
You are one person who has made me want to meditate properly, any input or guidance on that would be useful.
Mad props tho. Keep inspiring.
Download Calm or headspace.
If you want to get serious buy a Muse meditation headset. I found one used relatively cheap prior to the pandemic. It measures the analytics.
You can read about alpha, gama, theta waves. The depth in which you can measure the depth of the session is monumental. The next gen muse is out. I haven't upgraded yet but I will eventually.
Dark mate, I'm thirty. I don't look my age. Full head of thick blonde hair. I am deezed but leaning out with the gym weights and fasting. Its pandemic and I still do cold approach. Tinder too but I prefer game irl. Cold approach is ego decimated on the regular.
Lifting, I'm reading 3 books a week, meditating, foam rolling, I'm going in nature, and I am using the pandemic wisely. I have quite a ego lol. I get obliterated tripping on psychedelics. I'm the sort of lad, we would clash, thriw hands, shake habds, get drinjs, and thrn go out and get girls lulz.
Check YouTube fitness faq. He's a good resource.
YouTube Ecky (eckhart tolle. Look up Dan Millman. Read way of the peaceful warrior.
Socrates describes meditation, "Surrender to what is. Let go" meditation in a nutshell.
I joined a meditation group this year. I recommend it. You get tons of women. Lots are cooky and into energy crystals and ****ery but super kinky.
The next addition to the regimine is yoga.
