Here you go Fast Food Workers:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hy9Es7wC8eM

McDonalds has these self-serving order units rolling out throughout the country now that's replacing the workers who used to make these orders. Pretty soon, they will be in just about every major Fast Food restaurant and the only "workers" will mainly be those in the back cooking the food (other than the guys mopping the floors). But the work force would be cut back and more profits would come for Fast Food Restaurants.

This is very similar to what a ton of Grocery Stores have done, by replacing most Cashiers with automatic check-out. My Meijer Supermarkets over here got rid of most of the Cashiers years ago. My first job at 16 was working for Meijer as a Bag Boy for a Cashier, and BOTH of those positions have been replaced by automatic check-out machines.

This is what the hell you get for demanding $15.00 per hour for a low skilled position, instead of doing what everybody else has to do, which is innovate, gain more skills and gain more expertise to increase our earnings!

I had already knew about these machines. Eventually they will probably have robots making the food or something. The whole 15 an hour thing is ridiculous. It will just drive prices up. Then what happens to people that are already making 15 an hour? They will want raises and so will just about everyone else. Then we are all right back to where we were before.

they'll be able to draw unemployment for a year, while also getting college loans and grants. after the year is up, unemployment office will still give them 2k per year, to the college but it passes thru to the student, since the tuition is already paid by the Pell grant. Until it all collapses, this is a sweet deal for students. especially if you maintain a 3.25 GPA, so you can borrow another 4K per year (TEACH).

You have to actually thing and get out and DO things in order to take your advice and make it work for you. How many of those lazy McDonalds folks that want $15/hr do you think are willing to do what you just said?

Zero.

However, you did hit on what they want, and that is simply free money. They stand in line for that. But it won't go any farther. College grants? Pffft. That's secondary to booze and a big screen TV.

yep, for at least half of them. The kind that can do what I suggested are the kind that aint protesting the $8 per hour that they're making. They have no intention of being stuck in that job for more than a few months, at most.

Progress most IT jobs i know have been transferred to third world country India, but now the problem with India is that they are becoming a powerful country the salaries are going up so outsourcing there is becoming pointless, they new place is called Manila. This is a disgrace and don't understand why the government and president don't get involved to stop this.

this is my field and i will assure you that you never have to truly worry about India taking every american tech job. They aren't that complement over there. At least not enough fo them to ever be a serious threat to american programmers. There will always be a market for indian programmers willing to work for 8 dollars an hour but An american programmer who isn't trying to bill someone 100 an hour and knows what the **** he's doing will always have a job.

Vietnam on the other hand... that's the country you need to worry about. I'd put my money where my mouth is and state that per capa, Vietnamese programmers are pound for pound the best on earth.

Is there any job that isn't going to eventually be replaced by a robot?
The day I go to my local rub-n-tug and the cute asian is replaced by an asian robot is the day I crunch the cyanide tablet in my back molar.

then again, it's already happening...

That is a wealthy man wet dream to have a workplace full of robots. They won't complain, they never slow down, and the only thing you pay them is repair fees when something breaks down.

It will backfire on the wealthy though because who will buy the product if no one has the cash for being replaced with a bot. Stuff like this goes hand and hand

Midnight city I agree with your above post.

So, what is happening with this 34 billion that Rob Walton has?

His entertainment, parties, boats, planes etc......all of which needs workers for food/drinks/maintenance, etc. He probably has some money invested, that is providing jobs for financial guys all over. The more wealth that is created, the more it trickles down.

As far as a McDonald's worker....well, you only make what you're worth. What it costs to replace you.

You guys are off base on this. Your view point makes no sense. You all are jealous. You don't want a living wage, you want a piece of what the rich have, and you want it without having to work for it. Just tell it like it is. Don't hide behind some idealistic veil and say you want what's best for society. You don't. Espi, I've seen your viewpoints, you are all about you and no one else. That's fine, but just call it what it is.

they seem to think they are exempt from the billionaire owners of these big corporations that have been influencing politics and fvcking every american in the ass (and by the extension the world economy) all for personal profit simply because they think they share the same ideals and values lol.
So, that's your explanation as to how I'm supposedly getting f*cked over by the rich business owners? Sorry, it's just not true. The only thing they are guilty of is not standing up to the rising of the tide. That will change though, and the Donald is leading that charge. He don't give a f*ck what you think, and he shouldn't.

You're correct, but I'm not looking up at the business owners. I'm looking at the second generation sociopaths born into money. You know, the true blue Democrats. The lawyers, the politicians, and other useful idiots. Appointed to their place in life, not earned. Those are the enemies of everyone, the ones who divide and conquer. Not the business owners.

This is just emotional garbage leaking from a concern troll.

This school of thought is a cancer, and it's infected so many of you. Makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it. I mean, Walmart and McDonalds executives are terrorists, not Louis Farrakhan talking about killing 10,000 people. Not the liberal politicians trying to throw out as much legislation as possible to control everything about us. No, it's f*cking Sam Walton's family. Give me a break.

If you currently have too many women chasing you, calling you, harassing you, knocking on your door at 2 o'clock in the morning... then I have the simple solution for you.

Just read my free ebook 22 Rules for Massive Success With Women and do the opposite of what I recommend.

This will quickly drive all women away from you.

And you will be able to relax and to live your life in peace and quiet.

I will silently gloat if radicals ever blow up McDonalds and/or Walmart headquarters. Those guys are the true terrorists in my opinion.
I'm a conservative and very pro middle and working class. Of course this usually doesn't make me popular to other people who consider themselves conservative. But what about liberals who claim they are the ones for the middle and working class? Where were they on NAFTA, TPA, TPP and 'free' trade? And when I say let's stop immigration, let's stop welfare paying women to have more children in poverty and overpopulating, let's stop affirmative action forcing deserving poor and disadvantaged people of the 'wrong' skin color and sex from getting ahead, what do they say? "You're a 'racist' or 'supremacist'."

I don't mean you personally, but I don't see anyone who is really for the American middle and working class. All I see is envy and jealousy from both sides and everyone wanting to manipulate the game to get ahead.

I don't see it as a political argument. To me it is an economics argument. I want to see a large and strong middle class with lots of freedom and liberty. I want to see an America that is not overpopulate with a divisive demographics. It doesn't seem to me that anyone is really for that anymore.

The Robots will make high end Cadillacs, Porsches etc with 500 hp in Mexico to sale to the rich in the US.

Corporations don't need customers and workers any more. They just need the FED to print money and allocate a share to them. And small businesses? Who needs them anymore or workers? Our whole economics system is becoming a sham.

I mean I'll conceded fast food and service workers don't necessarily need to make $15 or $x an hour. But where are the opportunities else where? Walmart is the US's largest employer. It's getting to where if you don't work for the government, the health insurance/tax payer subsidized healthcare industry or have a BS MIT in engineering or such, you're working hard for peanuts no matter how valuable you are if you can even find a job.

Yeah and I dislike those self checkout lines generally. I'm paying more for groceries than ever, and now they want me to scan and bag my own groceries. Meanwhile, the pay for grocery workers is going down. Grocers like other businesses cut back on workers, hired new workers at as low as one half to a third of pay, did away with baggers. Now self check out. But prices didn't really drop. And why would they? The workers weren't adding that much to the cost per item in the first place.

I remember as a kid grocers had lots of cashiers and baggers and they even took the groceries out to your car and loaded them. Many people had fulltime jobs and made over $15 hour plus benefits working at a grocer. More service, higher pay and the groceries were not more expense if anything less.

Now we are paying a lot for groceries, no service and low paid, skeleton crew. It seems workers and customers are being short changed today.

Here's my question though, what about workers who work on 100% commission? There's no "living wage" associated with the position, you perform/sale/close....or you don't eat. Should those jobs be eliminated too?

What about Internships that offer no pay, should those jobs be eliminated too?

While we are at it, owning a small business is considered a job, there's no wage associated with that for the small business owner, either he sells products ABOVE the cost he spent in operations, or he doesn't eat. Should we eliminate all start-ups now too?

If people just started blowing things up because they felt they weren't paid "enough", then wouldn't everything begin to get blown up because what is the definition of "fair and living wage"? What's fair to someone else isn't fair to another, one guy wants $15 an hour but another guy wants $25 an hour.

How is the owner of Walmart fvcking me in the a.ss? I don't shop at Walmart so I will use another large retailer in my area for example, which is Meijer. Meijer was founded by the Meijer Family, how are they fvcking me in the a.ss when they give me access (one stop shop) to all of my groceries at great prices?

Still confused on what you are even talking about . How am I getting fvcked in the a.ss?

I've seen this documentary, it was pure propaganda. You guys are just socialists and want to spread the wealth around, instead of using your talents/skills to ACQUIRE wealth.
