Yep, women can get it all but guess what??? THERE'S MORE!!!! The following link is a breakthrough in science but who knows, it could become the best Botox!!!

Surgeons perform first face transplant

And before I get flamed by a bunch of 'fems,' YES, I know that we men can get the same surgery. We just choose not to... :p

Face Off anyone?

It doesn't matter how good-looking you are, how romantic you are, how funny you are... or anything else. If she doesn't have something INVESTED in you and the relationship, preferably quite a LOT invested, she'll dump you, without even the slightest hesitation, as soon as someone a little more "interesting" comes along.

It doesnt affect anyone, so I can't really complain. If women want to alter their boob size or wear revealing clothing, that's their issue.

PS. Wasn't there a Sosuave poster who was obssessed with his nose or chin or something? Did he ever managed to get comestic surgery?

Men get pecs implanted, penis implants, calves implanted, liposuction, nose jobs, chin implants, etc., etc...

Lots of men get cosmetic surgery. Do a google search about it and you'll turn up tons of sites about men and plastic surgery.

The only plastic surgery I'd want is to get a breast reduction because mine are too damn big and it's hard to find shirts that fit through the chest without way too long arms. It's crazy. I can't believe people actually PAY to have boobs this big. They can have mine for free...

I'll take them if you aren't using them, Wildfire.
If I could detach them and ship them off forever I would...

But as long as they're attached to me I'm afraid I can't let you have them. If you want to pay for a surgery to take them off me and put them onto you, then I'm game!

Re:

She did get her face mauled by a dog, so I think that qualifies. I think many victims of fire burns would opt for such surgery, too, if at all possible. While we do live in a very superficial society, I don't blame anyone with a medical condition that seeks to gain at least normal footing and regain their former-selves.

This isn't like the women who've popped up on MTV trying to be a model, coming to mind are the girl who wanted to be like Pam Anderson, got huge boobs, and then Playboy told her they don't like big fake boobs anymore.

There was the guy who thought he had a killer body and would be the complete package if he got calf implants. And he did so. CALF IMPLANTS!

Perhaps, but it's just a one time thing as apposed to the majority of women who need to put on their war paint on a daily basis. What percentage of men wear makeup and such as compared to women? What's the percentage that get penis implants as compared to women who get breast implants? Should we also bring up face lifts?

Yes, men may be beginning to get these procedures done but think about how long women have been doing this. C'mon, we all know that physical appearance deception is a common modus operandi for most women. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely good to look at and sometimes it's actually necessary for some women but again, using the scape goat that men do it too is a weak justification.

I'm guessing that within the next decade, face transplants may become available as another one of the many personal enhancement procedures that someone have to increase their AQ (Attractiveness Quotient).

Men get face lifts and botox too...and collagen and fat moved to parts of their faces. Men are fairly close to being as vain as women.

And I will reiterate with due self-righteousness since you avoid commenting on it; men can not compete with the vast number of women who on a daily basis put on a literal physical facade (makeup) each morning to go out in the world. Are you one of them?

I wear make up when I go to work or want to look my best. I don't put it on just to run to the store or whatever. Lately my long hair gets thrown up into a bun that's half falling down.

I think plastic surgery is stupid if it's only for vanity reasons. Perhaps I'd feel different if I weren't pretty. I do want breast reduction, but that's because they hurt my back, make it hard for me to run and make buying well fitting clothing damn near impossible. If it weren't for the physical issues I wouldn't want the surgery. I've had the money to get it done several times and never went to see a doctor, so I probably never will.

Some men actually wear make up now...and most men go to salons instead of barber shops. Men buy designer clothes, etc. There's plenty of vanity and primping from both sexes.

In 2004 more men than women got the following cosmetic procedures done:

Breast reduction
Chin augmentation
Hair transplantation

More than 1/3 of the patients were male for:

Ear surgery (Otoplasty)
Cheek implants
Rhinoplasty (nose job)

And over 1/4 of all patients were male for:

Microdermabrasion
laser hair removal

The percentages rates go up every year.

Men frequently err by talking too much. They often monopolize conversations, droning on and on about topics that bore women to tears. They think they're impressing the women when, in reality, they're depressing the women.

He looked all buff but he couldnt even do ten pushups.

Once again here's misrepresentation of data. Actually, omission of data and filling in the blanks with propaganda. You've pointed out a selection of the overall number of procedures.

For anyone who would like to see all of the data here's a link that that provides the ENTIRE story.

Plastic Surgery Research Info

Wyld's selective statistics are referenced along with the empirical data which I had pointed out of women having the majority of procedures performed.

I quote:
Women had nearly 10.7 million cosmetic procedures, 90 percent of the total. The number of cosmetic procedures for women increased 49 percent from 2003.
Sure, men may have more procedures of a selection but again, overall it's women. The numbers (when presented completely) prove it.

The point is that you posted as if it's only women who get cosmetic surgery when there are some procedures that men get far more often than women do...like hair transplants, chin implants and breast reduction.

over a million men got invasive plastic surgery in 2004...that's certainly enough to make it a bit hypocritical to slam on women getting plastic surgery. Men get these surgeries too.
