So I am in the library with a buddy of mine chillin and chatting, and then notice my gf studying...with another guy. I immediately come over there and put my arm around her and introduce myself to our new friend.

Long story short, I was pissed. I noticed shes been acting a little odd lately, and seeing her with another guy pissed me off.

Anyway, she acted like it was no big deal. I told her I did. I was seriously pissed, and she said we'd talk about it later. She went back to studying over there.

I am considering breaking up with her, TONIGHT.

Please give me some help here.

If they are in the same class, then it's no big deal. You're just jealous, now go bang her.

The only thing to be concerned with at all in this post is:
I noticed shes been acting a little odd lately
.

Seeing your girlfriend studying with another guy and getting pissed is just stupid jealousy. So if you had seen her kissing him, being very affectionate or something like that you would be justified and dumping her would be a good call, but right now you are just being possessive.

Elaborate about how she has been "acting a little odd lateley" and perhaps we can guage if there is any problem here, because breaking up with a girl because she was studying with a guy friend is idiotic.

Sh*t, I feel like a total f*cking moron now. Out of passion, I went up to her, and told her we're breaking up.

She begged to talk about this, but I just told her that talking isn't necessary.

Was I being a total f*ck to do that? She called me possessive and that there was nothing wrong, but I feel like I acted out of pure stupidity now...

I liked this girl a lot...what the f*ck do I do now?

Now that you guys have told me, maybe I was acting like a total f*cking loser just now. And not only that but I must have appeared to be a total d*ck to my gf.

It's just that I walk in and see her chatting and laughing with another guy, and it reminded me of when me and her first began studying before going out, and how I was always flirting with her instead of studying. I was not really studying with her but hitting on her instead. Thinking of this guy doing the same thing kinda hurt and made me p*ssed.

But now I just feel like an immature *******.

You made a mistake - I'd say see if she's forgiving.

Tell her you realize and admit that you were acting possesive and on impulse.

If your young there's plenty of time to make mistakes - and if you're both serious about this relationship, she'd be willing to work it out.

shyt... i wish my advice had gotten to you a bit earlier...

at this point you have definitely fvcked things up... you just showed her quite a weakness. Now you want her back because you realize you were just being possessive and stupid, but you want to figure out a way to go about it that will not totally give her all the power.

my intial instinct is to tell you to call and apologize for your actions, but there is probably a more DJ way to go about it. maybe explain that all your tests and stuff had you totally stressed out, or use some other excuse for why you overreacted and then apologize. I'm sure this advice will get flamed by others on the board, but if you want to salvage this I'm not really sure how else to do it.

Well I called her up and she didn't pick up. I left a message basically apologizing and saying that we can work this out together. I left it at that and told her to give me a call back.

I realize that I have illustrated a MAJOR weakness to her. Why not have just gone over to their table and just acting real cool and suave about it instead of some primitive neanderthal?

Here's how I should of done it:

"Hey what's up? (putting my arm around her)" "Whats your name man?...Nice to meet you, Im..." "(turning to my gf) listen I'm going to go finish some work..let's get together later" "good luck studying and nice to meet you man."

But no, I acted like I was about to put this guy in a lock and start kicking his ass right there in the library. And then I go act like a p*ssy and b*tch to my gf, then go back later and break up with her!

WTF

Really after realizing how f*cking stupid I was, I can understand if she doesn't want to still go out with me.

It will take a f*cking miracle for this incident to be reconciled.

In a previous post of mine, I talk about how she's been acting odd lately in that she's:

-not been acting as accomodating
-not as much touching, etc
-less enthusiastic when we're together

But she's been under a lot of stress lately due to school and work, and I think that's been putting her in a slightly less optimistic mood. Before realizing this, I took this to mean that our relationship had a problem.

And when I saw her with another guy studying, all those questions I was having came back to me, and it made me break up with her.

But what I realize now is that I DID make a mistake acting like a possessive d*ck just now, EVEN IF our relationship did have a problem.

Under no circumstance should I have acted AFC like that.

I'd say your on the right track! You've realized and admitted to yourself how you've acted on impulse.

Now you need to suck it up and leave it in the past. Be positive about it. Take what you've learned from it and be happy that you've gotten this chance to learn. It can only make you better.

Keep that positive attitude about the situation and she'll notice it when you next talk to her.

You acted on instinct...and a bit of jealousy. I'm not ready to clear this girl just yet. If she's been acting weird in conjuction with studying with some other guy...I'd be skeptical myself. Maybe in your haste you actually dodged a bullet.

Just do yourself a favor and don't go crawling, begging, etc to get her back. If you lose her respect, you might as well be single, and this just might push her into her 'study buddy's' arms...

How could you be so stupid. =/

It's too late now, you ruined it for yourself. You acted totally out of jealously and frustration. They were just studying with one another, I could see if he was using kino or other flirting techniques on her, then you should have asked him if you could talk to him for a bit, and let him know that it's not cool to be pulling moves on your girl.

However...he wasn't doing anything wrong, you need to never make this mistake again. Quite frankly, you SHOULDN'T have made this mistake.

lol, how old r u? 18-19?

Still learning to control those emotions? Man, you gotta get a handle on them, or you are gonna be in the gutter with this chick banging another dude (and probably not the one she is studying with)!

You shouldnt have even went up to her, just keep studying with your buddy!

Take a step back, breath, and let her have her time. Apologise for your stupid actions once, and that is it! Dont become a crawly winey b*tch!

wtf are you guys telling him?? always trust the gut man!! personally i dont think the studying thing is a big deal but if she has acted odd lately and then you see her flirting the gut adds one and one.

I realize that I have illustrated a MAJOR weakness to her. Why not have just gone over to their table and just acting real cool and suave about it instead of some primitive neanderthal?
give me a breath dude. what the **** are you talking about?? if you have an exclusive relationship there is no such thing as being cool about her flirting with another guy. she is yours man!! you should and must be cool when you have multiple girlfriends or you are in the beginning of a relationship. but something is wrong when you are cool about her flirting with guys when you are in a exlusive relationship!! always act DJ, even if you you catch her in the heat with another man, be indifferent about it and never show emotions, yes thats very DJ  man nobody knows it for sure but probably you did the right thing!!trust the gut!! and plz dont apologize.

You noticed she had been ACTING a little odd lately?

And you said nothing about it?
You didnt confront her on it?
And you get shocked, when you see her with somebody else?

Men, we are don juans, we must control our worlds and our relationships, and not allow them to get out of control. If your girl is acting stupid, see what the fvck the problem is, if she refuses to change, kick her ass to the crub. We dont need these hoes who play bull-shyt games like this. We can easily get another one, fellos.

See son, you are pissed now, right? Exactly how husbands feel who hang out to a girl that they LOVE, but the girl ACTS totally damn strange and when they discover she is cheating, they go, OH MY GOD!!

Hey sir, you want my advice on what to do with this hoe........when she calls you, have another girl answer the phone...and if your girl gets mad just say......hey, we were just studying! NOT! NEXT!

what she gunna do ? have sex in front of the book return counter ?

SHE IS STUDYING

WORKEROUTER goes over and introduces himself

NO DRAMA. she doesn't act like she been caught. she doesn't pull away from his jealous a$$ infront of the other guy when jealous WORKEROUTER puts his arm around her. all is well.

in my opinion he let the other man know this b*tch is taken and if you get any ideas i'll be just over there READY TO KILL. perfectly normal.

NOW WORKEROUTER goes too far.

he breaks up with her.... for sitting in a Library reading books with a dude that met WORKEROUTER and is now scared of WORKEROUTER ( imagine WORKEROUTER's eyes when he introduced himself to the poor dude sitting there lol )

Sh*t, I feel like a total f*cking moron now. Out of passion, I went up to her, and told her we're breaking up.

She begged to talk about this,

Ya I f*cked up this time. I ended up talking to her and it seems she felt like I was just being stupid. What hit me more was that she couldn't believe how insecure I was about myself.

I really don't care if we could make it work or not anymore. I don't really feel like continuing going out with her, anyway.

I've learned a lot, and I'll use those lessons in the future and try not to be such an idiot sometimes. But in terms of this girl, she HAS been actind differently lately, and although I HAVE tried getting to the cause, it's always very ambiguos. Well, I don't care.

I think I am just going to stop contacting her.

Thanks guys

Work Hothead - you went a bit far for something that was 'not' severe - you over reacted; however, you may have reason for suspicions but you should have done some covert reconnaosance!!!

When a girl acts 'cold' this is a sign rhat she is seeing someone else!

Just because you ovewreacted in this instance does NOT mean she isn't doing anything wrong - she may be seeing another dude - trust your instincts - trust your instincts - trust your instincts!!!!!!!!!!!!
