Eye Contact

So i've been reading up on eye contact a lot lately. But I've been hearing some mixed thoughts on it.

THis girl in one of my classes locked eye contact with me. i've thought she was cute but havent gone up to her yet. I was caught by surprise by the EC, so i forgot to smile (not all that used to holding the eye contact yet, but I managed to hold it for 4-5 seconds). ANyway, i forgot tosmile, but she gave out a quick smile before we finished the EC. Now, if u hold EC for 3-5 seconds, is that def. a sign of some IL ? Will girls hold EC for that long if they're not interested ?

you realize that you were holding EC with her for 3-5 secs, and it will be considered staring becuase you didnt smile. its quite creepy to hold EC with someone who doesnt smile.

this is something I've always been on a fulcrum about. David DeAngelo is my primary pimpin' professor and according to him, smiling may convey a sense that you're seeking her approval. In short, smiling is wussy. He advises a skeptical look ("What are you up to, staring at me like that...") and an eyebrow raise. Maybe a "sly smile," as if you know something that she doesn't.

I don't want to think too hard about this, but what kind of/how much smiling is necessary for regular EC?

it all depends on the individual

if you're like me, clean cut and boyish looking, my goofy grin gets me everywhere with the women, they often tell me i look real cheeky. i feel that smiling makes me more approachable

and theres a difference between smiling confidently and smiling nervously to seek approval from people

but if you're a bad boy, then you choose to project a cool tough image about yourself, then a slight frown on your face will look good. (on some men)

its all about your attitude, whats your personality like? its all about what you feel, how you are as a person.. you dont want to seem fake when you smile. incorporate your smile to fit your personality and thats the way to go!

I NEVER smile when I look at gurls. What does smiling put across other than you are friendly? Do most gurls you are attracted to smile at you or stare into your eyes intently? For me it's the latter. Just don't creep her out. If you think she's vibing you back then continue with the heavy Ec, but if she seems turned off yo run the risk of being labeled a stalker or "that creepy guy"


If someone holds EC that means they can look at anything in the world but they choose to look at you. It doesn't postively mean she's diggin you, but mroe than likely. MAke a move and find out, come back and tell us what happened with u 2

dont fake the smile..ussually when u fake it..you just look un-natural. if ur normal self..most likely ur gonna smile somewhat but not many poeple really smile constantly.

when ur with ur partner they probably smile 20 percent of the time or less u see them..so ur natural look is best..just dont look unhappy or pissed off.
