Explain why this is pissing me off...

4 years ago, I was lead on by this chick, ended badly. Oh well, I moved on. I am now happily girlfriended for 10 months, and the thought of that other girl doesn't bother me at all.

But now, I find out that my best man, who was even with me when I was (I dont wan't to say heartbroken, but eh, you know) Is now dating the very same girl. Im over the girl, but this just keeps eating at me, and I don't know if it's my friend that is pissing me off, or what.

I tried to put it past me, but he'll just call me or something and blabble on for a miniute, and then let out with 'Oh, we're going to go do this and this.' And he KNOWS I don't like the girl.

So, currently, i've 'Next'd' my best friend just so i'll quit being reminded of the idea, and calm down.

But, if anyone can, eleborate on to WHY this was pissing me off. I thought I could get over this childish crap.

do you remember high school, when you liked a girl and she diddent know that you exist and you were pissed at her when she got asked out? well its just like that... your engaged and you cant have her, because its just not right... i sure if you trid you could get her but, its childish feelings... just try to drop them and grow out of that thought process.

It was pissing you off because it was pissing you off.

But the reason why I think it's pissed you off is because you felt a bit vengeful towards the girl. You may feel betrayed by your friend, who knows. My hypothesis is that you want your friend to break up with the girl to hurt her....just like she hurt you (vegeance).

You guys are right. I know it was just something that was going to take a little cool down time to get over. I was mad at him, but he has to understand that I still don't like her.

The thing of it is, I often hear advice from many posts of 'if they treat you like ****, stop being their friend'. Where does that line start?

People change so much in 4 years, especially during teenage years. none of you are the same people you were at 16. just. let. go.
