Click on the link and go down to a bunch of studies, most all are recent

I'm just trying to figure out the effects of exercise on hormones, that's all. So far, exercise increases GH directly after the session, and results in a blunted GH secretion during the first part of sleep.....but increases secretion during the 2nd half of rest. As far as Total Testosterone and Free Testosterone, both increase for about an hour after exercise and then go down significantly and their secretion appears to be blunted during sleep.

Point being, both strength training and endurance training DECREASE testosterone, contrary to popular belief.

art reading the long term effects. Of course the body is tired after a workout... the research says that... That's what you are reading

Go back and read the other research, the ones that say that free hormones return to normal levels after 4 hours. Then read the research that says sufficient rest is required to allow the testicles to adapt.

Do some speculation research. You think the body increases hormones while it expends all of it's energy? No, it takes time to adapt to the new stresses, read the findings, instead of the abstracts.

So then maybe cycle somehow?

Anyone got any ideas how to let your testicles "adapt?"

I'm basically trying to figure out the best way to opt testosterone and HGH levels via exercise. I'm pretty muscular to begin with so I don't train in the gym, but I run daily. Is there any way I can keep running to stay in shape and not greatly lower my testosterone levels at the same time. I was thinking

Mon- HIIT + medball

Tues- Long Walk/Off

Wed- 3 Mile run (5:45/ mile pace)

Thurs- HIIT + medball

Friday- Long walk/Off

Sat- Morning 3 mile brisk run (6:30 pace)

Sun- Off

Would I need to cylce this training routine to maybe get harder each week? Or should I just let my body and testicles adapt and keep strictly to this workout? Is the resting time okay?

lol, sorry if it's a little far-fetched :p

But I'm seriously trying to make sure my testosterone levels are okay, if those levels go down your balls shrink and you have tons of other sexual problems.

reason why 90% of gymgoers get no results: they read studies.

And let's not forget the "If I was taking roids I would have 20lbs of muscle too!" or "I'm small and skinny, It's genetic"

HGH production increases with exercise anyway (anaerobic mostly). So does testosterone.

i have yet to come across of a masculine long distance runner. however that's totally different from doing martial arts, playing soccer, going for a half hour run each day etc.

strength training decreases T-levels? LOL maybe 2hour high reps db kickbacks each day for "cutting" does or overtraining does. other than that i have the strong desire to punch those scientists my low T-levels in their faces....how come?? :)

If you are worried about infertility, dont be. In tests conducted to find if there where high numbers of infertile cyclists due to the effects of sitting on the saddle for so long, they found that fertility levles among cycleists are much higher then average due to the positive effects of excersize.

Eureka!!!!

The reason running lowers testosterone and is associated with subclinical modifications in semen characteristics is because...

running creates a psychological reaction in your mind from your caveman days!!!

Of course, why didn't I see it before!

Our psyches are riddled with negative instincts that pose no role in today's society. We don't have the ability at birth to ponder spinning objects, control our emotions, develop good habits. We have to exercise our way, and make our bodies reject the old programming!

When you run, and you don't actively think that you are not running from something, and that you are running to something. Your testes will get all shriveled, and they'll be slapped around like a rag doll! That is why your getting all worried, you think your balls are going to shrink:p

Heavy weights seem to be the greatest t-booster for me. Also do some boxing training or bjj has worked wonders for me.
