I'm definitely a big movie geek. It's also my major.
There's a plethora of alpha male characters in movies. I'm wondering which ones you guys look up to as great examples of ways to behave in an attractive way in real life. As in, they would be attractive to women even if they weren't good looking.

Just a few for me are:

Jude Law in Alfie
Jason London in Dazed an Confused.
James Bond (of course)
and my favorite is David Duchovny as Hank Moody in the tv show Californication.

Something all these characters have in common is that women are not a priority in their lives, except maybe the Alfie character, but he makes up for it with the additude of "If they're so many beautiful girls around, why would you only want one"
Also listening to some hiphop songs, for example lil wayne-single, really get me in the right zone for picking up chicks.
Thoughts?

Don Draper (played by Jon Hamm) in Mad Men. He's the Alphaest character I con think of off the top of my head.

It's hard to find a really Alpha character in TV and movies, because most of the guys writing the stuff are chumps.

I'll have to check that out.
It's true that a lot of characters on tv that are supposed to be alpha are not. However, there are still a lot. These guys writing it might be afc, but it's not hard to think of good lines when you're not actually talking to a woman. The rest is up to the actor's delivery and chasrisma.

How can fighting a predator NOT be alpha :)
Love Pulp fiction.
Alright bros, let's try to elaborate a bit more as to WHY these characters are alphas, such as mannerisms, dialog, attitude, etc.

John Travolta in Pulp Fiction has it all, the shades, the confidence, the suit, the swagger and the composure.

Charlie Sheen in Two And A Half Men. He pretty much plays himself, but his attitude is dead-on.

My big three are:

Sylvester Stallone (full on masculinity)

Jim Carrey (humor/fun)

Robert Downey Jr. (irreverence)

They all serve a different purpose.

Stallone is the classic action hero. There are other greats, but he is the apex. The perfect example of the fearless, masculine leader who is focused, committed, and always in control. But the best part about him is that he is always the good guy. Our society today associates virtue with weakness and immorality with strength. Because the only people that seem to make any attempt to show any respect or do the right thing anymore are the AFCs (even if they're doing it for all the wrong reasons). Stallone is a reminder that you can be strong and moral. In addition to this, the guy is 64 years old and still in tremendous shape.

Jim Carrey might seem like a bit of an odd choice, but he's really a great example if you look at him. He represents a total free spirit who just expresses himself as the mood strikes him. He is not confined by ego or anxiety. And there is a perpetual element of fun to everything he does. Jack Black is like this too. I've actually found that going through my daily routine with a Jim Carrey attitude suddenly makes the most boring, mudnane sh1t tremendously fun. And women are drawn to fun like moths to a flame. Carrey's own record speaks to this with him bagging Lauren Holly and Jenny McCarthy.

Robert Downey Jr. is the perfect example of a guy that just doesn't give a fück. He is not concerned with social norms, people's feelings, or any unnecessary bullsh1t. He just calls it like he sees it and does what he wants and makes no apologies for any of it.

A lot of guys on here will probably cite James Bond, but I've noticed something with Bond. His level of suaveness really depends on who is playing him. Pierce Brosnan has that perfect C&F devilish charm. But Roger Moore comes across like a stiff, rigid, latent homosexual. So if you're going to go with Bond, be careful which Bond you're watching. Of course you can't go wrong with Sean Connery.

You want to see real-life alpha behavior? Watch the business leader stories on CNBC. When I see these men drilling for oil in 35,000 feet of water, putting millions on the line, organizing their command, and elk hunting in Montana, that is my inspiration.

But Connery is also the man lol

Great great responses! Especially Nexus
I want to comment on a few:
-Charlie sheen in two and a half men great example. Exactly the kind of easy laid back attitude women love. Nothing affects him, nothing pisses him off.

-Chris Pine was perfect as James Kirk. Women love the genuine heroism he displays, plus he is ****y funny to perfection in the bar scene.

Again, what all these guys have in common is that their happiness does not rely at all on what a woman thinks about them, yet they are not *******s, they are CHARMING.
