I had a thread on here back in December of a girl I'd been seeing basically walked out on me to go party with her friends, so I let her walk on and said "he!! with it". Months go by and today I get a text "I got in a wreck last night and totaled my car. I got a dui and spent the night in jail. I really miss u.". I honestly busted out laughing.lol This girl is 27 years old, had just been accepted to go into pharmacy school starting in August, seemed to have her head on straight but apparently hadn't gotten to ever experience the "party phase". So she started hanging around a bunch of gay guys and girls who were FULL of bar drama. Basically a crowd that doesn't have anything better to do than go to a bar EVERY night of the week. Well, she "thought" these people were her friends. I used to tell her "no dumb@$$ they see you as nothing more than a ride to and from the bar and someone to be a loser at life with." I was told by her that "You're wrong, you don't know them so you can't say that!" Well, guess who turned out to be right?lol
So not only did she walk out on me to hangout with the partying gays and that crowd of bar slvts, but now she's probably pi$$ed away her chance at pharmacy school (I'm sure they'll kick her out), she has no ride since her car is totaled so no way to get to work....who will also probably fire her since she got a dui, is facing steep court costs and probably a suspended license. 27 years old, mind you, and wasn't smart enough to know hanging out at a bar every night of the week wasn't a good idea.
And they say men take longer than women to grow up? Um, no. I know WAY more women like her than I do guys that are still partying at 27.
