I had a thread on here back in December of a girl I'd been seeing basically walked out on me to go party with her friends, so I let her walk on and said "he!! with it". Months go by and today I get a text "I got in a wreck last night and totaled my car. I got a dui and spent the night in jail. I really miss u.". I honestly busted out laughing.lol This girl is 27 years old, had just been accepted to go into pharmacy school starting in August, seemed to have her head on straight but apparently hadn't gotten to ever experience the "party phase". So she started hanging around a bunch of gay guys and girls who were FULL of bar drama. Basically a crowd that doesn't have anything better to do than go to a bar EVERY night of the week. Well, she "thought" these people were her friends. I used to tell her "no dumb@$$ they see you as nothing more than a ride to and from the bar and someone to be a loser at life with." I was told by her that "You're wrong, you don't know them so you can't say that!" Well, guess who turned out to be right?lol

So not only did she walk out on me to hangout with the partying gays and that crowd of bar slvts, but now she's probably pi$$ed away her chance at pharmacy school (I'm sure they'll kick her out), she has no ride since her car is totaled so no way to get to work....who will also probably fire her since she got a dui, is facing steep court costs and probably a suspended license. 27 years old, mind you, and wasn't smart enough to know hanging out at a bar every night of the week wasn't a good idea.

And they say men take longer than women to grow up? Um, no. I know WAY more women like her than I do guys that are still partying at 27.

Too many immature women still wanting to party. Good thing you were smart to let her go.

Glad I was smart enough, too. To be honest though that was her only flaw that I could detect in the short time I knew her (few months). She had this need to go out to bars with these friends....all the time. Would rather do that with them than spend time with me. So she got her wish and now she's looking at a seriously screwed future, and like I told her, I promise those losers won't be around while she sits at home with nothing to do. How is this girl smart enough to get into pharmacy school but not smart enough to pick decent friends to hang around and make good life choices? I made B's and C's in highschool and college but I wasn't stupid enough to hangout with idiots and knew when it was time to grow up.

Going to bars frequently are a red flag and spending more time with others. I still see women into their 30's partying it up still. Is she asking your for some help? Probably is why she reached out to you and nobody is giving her time of day.

You can have the most stable, goal oriented, grown up girlfriend ever. But she's like that because you keep her like that. I know, I did it for 7 years. This girl worked a day job for the state, and worked part time 3 nights a week. Didn't have her own friends, said she only needed me. Her life revolved around me, she was a beautiful girl too. Woke up, packed my lunch, cleaned our house, cooked, did anything I wanted her to do, trophy wife basically. HOWEVER as we go through as men(women to), when it's that easy we get tired of things, we get comfortable, the challenge is no longer there and you want something new.

Needless to say, after leaving her and making her move out within 3 months she had about 18 tattoos, was running with the bar crowd, staying out late, got fired from her jobs(yep both), got married, divorced 5 months later and family basically disowned her. A year after her failed marriage I get a text (2 years of not talking to her) trying to be slick about it, wanted to meet up for lunch because she "randomly" picked the city I moved to, to live in herself. Yeah right, I know sh!t better than that.

I humored the idea regardless since she offered to buy, showed up, she started casually talking how have I been and what not, within 15 minutes she teared up, asked if things could go back to how they were, she's sorry for everything, and how she wish I never broke up with her. Life was so much simplier and had a meaning to it, whatever. Moral is as you know it takes a tragic event like this or something else for a woman to realize she had it better with you and the party scene is not all its cut out to be. If you do decide to take this girl back, she will not be the same woman you left months or years back. She has had experiences that did change her, regardless of what you see on the outside. Trust me.

Never try to read a woman's mind. It is a scary place. Ignore her confusing signals and mixed messages. Assume she is interested in you and act accordingly.

"I really miss you".

Translation: I really miss having you being there to do things such as this time when I will need you to drive me around now that my car is totaled.
