I'm going to make this real quick. I'm all for cold approaches. They are fun and exciting. But I have an alternative.

Human civilization did not begin to develop until man started farming. Instead of going out into the wild to brave the elements and the jaws of wild beasts, he would set up livestockfarms, populated with both male and female. Man's lifestyle evolved.

What I am advocating is an addition to the cold approach that takes it to a higher level. Involve yourself in classes, seminars, clubs etc that naturally have a lot of women, and might even be interesting to you. That way, instead of going out into the wilderness, you can just lean over to the woman sitting next to you and ask her to grab a cup of coffee with you after class.

Can't cook? Take a cooking class. Learn ballroom dancing. The great thing is that there are places that offer courses like this for very little or cheap. You also learn new things. So if you love to hunt, fine! Just do a little farming on the side...

yeah, that's the point... hunting sufficed at first, but civilization blossomed when man realized that agriculture provided a more stable source of nutrition.

good post, sorta abstract, but it's something that I realized about myself too.

you can try to sit home all week and then hit the bars on the weekend and try your luck. but a lot of people I know who hooked up with girls or have girlfriends met these girls in some area of their life: school, club, seminar, work... not neccesarily "the club" or "the bar".
