Hello, everyone.

I have been working on a short story that deals with the subject of DJing and posts on this forum for several months now. Tonight I plan to finish this story and post it on this forum.

The story is title The Field Reporter .

Now, I must say that although I enjoy writing, I would not have spent as much time with this story as I have if I did not believe that most of you would enjoy the story since you all will be the sole audience. It will probably be longer than any other post you have read on this forum but I strongly encourage you all to give it a chance. It will come out to approximately 21 pages on Microsoft Word.

Since this story is lengthy and it will be quite a cut and paste task to post it, I am requesting that no one provide any feed back to the story until I have posted it in its entirety. You will know when the posting is complete when you see my signature(my name along with "you can't handle the Coot") at the end of the story just as you will see it at the end of this post.


I will provide a brief commentary as well as a glossary along with the story. Also, I will post it under a different thread than the one you are reading here and the thread will be titled The Field Reporter.

Moderators if you object to this, please let me know as soon as possible by responding to this post and stating so and I will respect your wishes.

Dude, you sound like you're 13 posting a long story about your life and overcoming enormous obstacles.

21 pages? Would you care to edit it a bit, instead of wasting time cluttering the forum?

I would hope my prose is much more advanced than that of a thirteen-year-old or many will be disappointed. I have edited as much of the story as I could while trying to avoid sacrificing the essence of the tale and I can hardly consider one additional topic on this board as "clutter."

For your information, my friend who judges prematurely, the story will not be what you expect. I can figure that much out through your response.

I sincerely welcome your constructive feedback if you decide to read the story to the end but for now, I will be satisfied that you are not a moderator.

Sometimes there are more than 21 pages
of guys arguing back and forth on this board. It couldn't be any more of a clutter than that.
