Every one of my friends is in a relationship

With great women, and I feel the walls are closing in on me. I am not getting any younger, but I feel like I might be single for a long time. I guess that's why I'm focusing on making myself happy, and getting my life in order...but it's hard when your friends that you grew up with are in great relationships..

Where am I?.......Does anybody else feel like the 3rd wheel?

My best friend got married for the 1st time in his fourties because be was tired of being the third wheel. He's told me several times he regrets it. Live n learn.

Yes I sometimes feel like the 3rd wheel when hanging with couples. So I just started avoiding situations where I'd be the 3rd wheel. If that means getting new friends then that's what you got to do.

Who care about what youre friends do. You are not your friends. You are YOURSELF. You do what YOU want, dont just follow your friends around and try to be like them like some beta tool.

This is really the best advice for anyone who finds themselves in a situation like the one you are in right now, and even better, YOU already know the answer!

And don't look to your friends as though they are having the greatest time. Look instead at all the time and work they are committing to the relationship. Also look at the times they have problems in the relationship, and the arduous efforts they go through to fix those problems. It is not all easy or all fun. The results are well worth it, but they come at a tremendous cost.

There is a lot of good advice in this thread. Don't worry about it and concentrate on what you are doing instead. Unless you become a hermit, you will eventually get into a relationship.

I hope your friends don't rib on you for being single. They may think that you saying you're trying to get your life in order is a cover up for being unable to get a girl. I don't hang with my friends when they have women around, and I don't go near them when I bring a woman near me.

Some guys are meant to have great relationships with women, and some guys are forced to go into hiding by becoming a better catch, then come out when they are a better catch.
