i don't think he should have stood up for the girl, because racists should burn, but the fact that he did manage to defend one person against a mob with only words doesn't deserve a suspension

We need some clarification:

1.) What exactly was the racial comment?

2.) You did act like a chump. You said that you would not let anyone get beat up by a mob. However, you need to ask yourself whether you would have stuck up for her if you did not have feelings for her or if she was a complete stranger.

Honestly, I think it had less to do with you doing the "right thing" and more to do with the chump side of you.

Just because you have been suspended for the rest of the school year does not mean this is over. You will see many of the same black kids in high school. You will be known as "that guy that stuck up for the racist girl".

By defending her, you have successfully associated yourself with racism in the minds of some.

I think you went a little too far in the situation. You should of just broke up the fight and not threatended anyone. Also, you should not have directly escorted her to the office. You should have told her to go to the office, but follow a little behind in case she needed help.

***For a mob to form against her, she must have said some extreme racial comment*** What was it? Please don't tone down the comment to justify you defending her.

On the original post, YOU DEFINETLY DID THE WRONG THING. YOU WONT REMEMBER HER IN 10 YEARS, BUT GETTING KICK OUT FROM YOUR SCHOOL MIGHT AFFECT what college or job you get, SAVING HER LIFE FROM AN ANGRY MOB WILL NOT (it was at school, wat were they going to do, slap her at most).
