Okay, now that I am eating a lot of protein and broccoli, I have been contributing to high emissions levels at my home and office if you know what I mean. And, not only do I have a lot more gas, I gotta tell ya that it aint smellin as rosy as it used to either!

Just want to see what others say and if they noticed the same thing when they started eating hard. Cheers!

Hi,
Probably not unless your diet includes anything comparable to horny goat weed or something that would increase your sexual desire and function. Nocturnal emissions are largely a result of the immature body's inability to control the prostate gland and prevent it from releasing semen while young boys sleep. As you get older, the body matures and in most cases, learns how to control this on its own. However, even some grown men can have nocturnal emissions, though much much more rare.

Maybe the title of my post was unclear. I was not talking about wet dreams. By emissions I meant gas release, i.e. farts. I though the word 'emissions' was funny given the huge talk in policy circles about global warming due to carbon emissions. Thanks for responding though.

Anyway, it reminds me of that South Park episode where they tell everyone to hold in their farts to slow down pollution, and then everybody starts blowing up from holding it in...haha. Maybe Congress should try to pas a bill like this. Or here's a better idea, the government should install gas meters on people's asses and charge a farting tax. Its one of the few activities left that the government has not tried to distort...haha.

Anyway, enough rant about politics, just thought I would throw some humor out there. Cheers!

Excessive gas (especially the really smelly kind)is a sign of food intolerence, most of the time.

When I'm eating properly I get no gas what so ever. The second I start eating foods that I personally react to (breads, beer, broccoli amongst others) I get pretty gassy.

You need to start listening to your body and paying attention to how certain foods make you feel.

A proper meal for you should keep you full and give you tons of energy for up to 4 hrs. If something is out of whack, you'll crash an hour later, or get hungry again or feel bloated and "full" but still hungry.

Keep tabs on your body's signals and change your diet accordingly.

Actually, the excessive gas has slowed since I made the OP. Now I am back to normal. Maybe my body was adjusting to the diet. Thanks.
