No. Only $600 coming, Senate wouldn’t vote on the $1200 exclusively, so you get the 6.
The election result ? Nobody knows yet, tune in tomorrow for the first clue as to how the current mess plays out…
Is this everyone or only low income?

Shaking the magic (8) ball:

I’m not giving you a formal warning for this for posting something political. But I am going to point out that this is probably the trigger post for the next post where someone who is pro republican will personally attack you, an argument will start, and it will lead to the mods deleting posts and closing threads. And you guys will accuse us of censorship. Prove me wrong. I will leave this thread alone if it stays civil. But I’m not betting a quarter it will.
Naw I won’t attack another poster. They have their opinion and that’s fine. I will be civil.

Ironically, I will likely be using it to help pay (property) taxes.
I’m using mine on carpet for a rental. Now if I can find someone with a job to rent it.

Im reading conflicting options about the best landskape for bigger stimuli, someone say that a mixed result would grant them while other say that full control from the dems would lead to a very huge stimulus.

I'm not american and I dont understand local political dinamics but wouldnt it easier for a party that control both the chambers to approve it?

That’s how it should be. But there are members here on both sides of the political isle that can’t talk politics without a passive aggressive jab or an out right active aggressive attack on those who they disagree with. It’s not just SoSuave it’s every site. But the site owner here has no tolerance for it and wants the mod team to police the forum accordingly. That’s why he pays us the big bux lol

Democrats have won the Senate, and will control all levels of the US government on January 20. President-elect Biden has said the $2,000 stimulus will be immediate priority. Stimulus will happen. The only question given the result in Georgia is if it will full or smaller than $2,000.

Trying to stay liquid and save. Hoping they approve the other $1400 they've been talking about. I'm not desperate, but not in a spendthrift mood.

Remember, folks, it's our money. Not theirs. We definitely deserve a "refund" after last year - and no that's not aimed at any one ideology. Lousy job done all around.
Same here but the way I figure it, it's really going to be a loan at best. They'll find ways to recollect it ten fold in the coming years. They are already doing it on a city basis to makeup for losses of business tax revenue. Higher city sticker, parking rates, speed cameras, property taxes, license registration, etc.
So in essence, even if we got the extra $1400, it's a wash for some of us.

I'm still waiting to hear about the medical benefits.

Democrats have won the Senate, and will control all levels of the US government on January 20.
Technically, they don't control the legislative branch (Supreme Court). But they will change that soon enough.
