Stop buying cigarrettes.

:)

Seriously tho, try Allen Carr's "The Only Way to Stop Smoking"

If that don't work, go see the doc, he might offer some suggestions.

After smoking for nearly ten years, a year ago I made the DECISION to quit.

It was rough for about three days. After that, blue sky.

Were there any fancy tricks involved? No.

I simply made a DECISION.

You worry about quitting cigarettes because you have not DECIDED that you can do it. There is still much doubt and fear clouding your mind.

But if I asked you whether you could use a computer, you would respond in the affirmative, because you have DECIDED (whether consciously or not) that you can.

The man of DECISION cannot be stopped!
The man of INDECISION cannot be started!

So remove the factor of chance, for it exists only in your mind. Make your choice.

pretty much julius nailed it. I have tried to quit twice, problem with me is people still keep buying me more ciggerettes so it makes alot more difficult to quit. Just smoke up your last ones, enjoy them, and the next time you are at the store just don't get more. Its really that simple.

I spent last night trying to figure out if my addiction is to the action of smoking or to the chemicals. It's most likely the chemicals but the fact that i spent fifteen minutes thinking about it is sad.

Just quit, get past the three day hump and you are in the clear, after that just look back and thank god you did.

The OP is a spam-bot.

But for the sake of discussion, I recommend buying the most disgusting nicotine product that you can find and smoking all of that you want. For me it was Dutch Masters menthol mini-cigars. omfg are they gross. I never finished the pack.

Tell her a little about yourself, but not too much. Maintain some mystery. Give her something to think about and wonder about when she's at home.

There isn't an easy way to quit, but a book called "An easy way to quit" (go figure) by Allen Carr is a good place to start. He has a website too. This guy will totally change the way you think about cigarettes. Trust me!

"One day a week" seems to turn into 2,3, then a couple here and there, etc.

I was going through that all through summer. Haven't smoked since last Sunday though. This weekend is gonna be tough, I'll be at the Casino.

Julius is spot on.

I smoked for around 8 years and one day simply made the decision that I didn't want it to be a part of my life anymore. I realised it was doing absolutely nothing for me and was only going to hinder my progress in the gym so it was a no-brainer for me.
I woke up one morning, had my last cigarette then went outside and dumped the rest of my tobacco on the ground and said to myself "I've just quit smoking". It really is that simple. No patches, gum or inhalators, just pure willpower.

All it takes is one decision. That is all. You are the master of your mind and body. You are the decider of what you do with your body. If you truly want to quit, you will quit.
If I can do it, anybody can.

I quit for a while. Cold turkey. Just made decision..felt like crap for about 4 days and after that I was fine. I ended up back on the wagon, I have a roommate who smokes and we were going out drinking alot, and stress at work....ended up back on it. I'm at day 8 clean as of today. I did the patch this time for the first 4 days as I had a strong deadline and I didn't want any headaches or feeling sick to get in my way last week. So far so good.

Do not be too easy. If you are too easy to get, she will not want you. If you are too easy to keep, she will lose interest in you. If you are too easy to control, she will not respect you.
