Has anyone got any experience or advice on dying your beard or stubble?

I've been told I look really good with a bit of a beard, but it's starting to get very grey now. I've been going grey since my early 20s and just started dying my hair. No problem. But can you dye a beard with normal hair dye or has anyone tried something more suitable?

Obviously I don't want to be buying a bottle of dye every week just for my beard, so ideally I'd want something I can get several uses out of.

Is this genetic? Has this happened to other males in your family?

The only time I've seen that is on the ridiculous commercials. I'd leave the grey on just because it makes you look like you have "wisdom" lol.

Very high maintainence. If you want a stubble....(3-5 day growth look), expect to be applying Just For Men every three days or so. If you don't keep up this schedule, the beard will have white roots and look really silly. It can work, but expect to devote a lot of time to it.
I'd rather just shave.......
