Exactly! I was having a hard time believing this, but this simple video explains it well. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=5352106773770802849#Danger said:Money can only be loaned into existence. That means if all debts were paid, there would be no money in circulation. Extrapolate that a little farther and you can come up with a simple summary of what banks do. "Lend 10 for 11 when only 10 exist". The only way for borrowers to repay their debt is if someone else borrows, to allow that 11th (interest driven) dollar to be repaid.
She never thought $170K of debt might be a deal-breaker? That is a bit disingenuousMatureDJ said:And while she hasn’t dated anyone seriously enough in recent months to get to the point of disclosure, she says it’s probably necessary by the eighth or 10th date. “I know that now,” she said. “But it had never occurred to me that this is something that might end up being a deal-breaker.”
Bingo, very few folks understand that money is debt. Say you have $100 in your pocket, all you have is $100 worth of services owed to you, by someone else.Danger said:Money can only be loaned into existence. That means if all debts were paid, there would be no money in circulation.
What happens, IN HER MIND, is that she comes to see you as WORTHLESS simply because she hasn't had to INVEST anything in you in order to get you or to keep you.
You were an interesting diversion while she had nothing else to do. But now that someone a little more valuable has come along, someone who expects her to treat him very well, she'll have no problem at all dropping you or demoting you to lowly "friendship" status.
