There's this singles Meetup in the area, it was a movie night for the group. Wound up being mostly women.

Some people will put in the comments section and say a reason why they can't make it, and one dude, single of course, says, "I can't make it, the hockey play offs are on! Can't miss 'em!"

With all this talk about "creating opportunities" is the an example of what NOT to do? lol And then brag about it on a social media platform?

Kind of glad I caught this as this could be an example of why some men are having problems with women. They are partaking in this kind of behavior.

"I'm manly, I prefer to watch sports on the couch...alone... and brag about it to all the single ladies who are actually getting out of the house. It'll make me come off as manly!"

Just something douche-baggy about it.

I dunno why he had to actually say ANYTHING if he wasn't going and just RSVP "No"

Irony.

This guy is a better man than you in the realm of dating brother. He places his own enjoyment above women. If you are choosing women over every hobby, interest or passion in your life then you need to seriously reevaluate your focus.

Truth. You live your life and invite women into your world. You love hockey.... then go watch hockey... As long as your whole world isn't hockey this is the way to go.

I'd honestly like to have a beer with that man. Always do things on your own schedule or enjoyment. Never drop something just for a pu$$y.

ThisnThat- you strike me as very feminine. Your posts leave me wondering.

This guy did what was most important to him instead of investing time in a bunch of fickle women that most likely won't be rewarding.

Opportunity or not, you don't put off what you love to hang out with a bunch of flakey women. They certainly won't respect you for it.

So how did the meetup go for you? Did you get to hold hands with any girls? ;-)

To drop soemthing you like and desire for the chance (not even the certainity) of getting women is a weak starting point, the whole frame is already messed up from the beginning.
Right, but he dropped his frame when he decided to go public with what he opted in for instead.

I think you're making a big assumption here, thinking the guy will be "home alone" or a "lonely loser" for not going to the event. He may have three other guys he has known since middle school with whom he enjoys spending time and watching hockey.

I was out at karaoke yesterday and one of my friends asked me "so are you going to be hunting tonight?" and I said "It's all about the crew and having fun tonight (our group of guys). If I'm handling my business and a potential plates arise, that's a plus, but not the objective of the night." All the guys nodded and smiled in response. Brotherhood is more important than game-hood, at least for me.

Well, as of late, I am noticing some of these singles groups winding up being tea parties as of late. Meaning there are mostly women. Some of the women organizers are like, "Come on guys, ya'll need to join us! Too many women RSVP'ed for this event, so we need to balance this out! LOL"

I recall being the only male single showing up to a singles event. All there were women. The waiter was like, "Dang dude, your'e the only guy here among all these pretty ladies!"

Of course, another Meetup didn't happen after that for that reason. Men simply didn't want to get out of the house. It's like they've stopped trying.

I see your point here. How was your experience at the event? What was the quality of women? Did you find valid reasons why the men may not want to come out or do you think they're just not putting in the effort?

Curious to hear your response. I've never been to one of those events in my life.

This tells a story all by itself.

Long story short, meet ups (or at least mating opportunities) happen on a weekly if not daily basis. The play offs happen but once a year. That's about all you need to know.

That's a man with BALLS right there. And men with balls get women wet. It doesn't matter if you're going fishing for the weekend, that makes her understand you will not put her over your passion. If she's dumb, she goes and ****s another guys because "she needs attention". However, she will forget that guy as soon as he cums and she will be after you as long as you do your thing and don't give a **** about anyone.

You've never been to a Meetup event of any category...be it even a non-singles focused event?

I've been doing Meetup, in general, for years. It was better in its earlier days...as there weren't that many to start. I was a member of 3 social clubs and one outdoors group. Had a blast at all of them.

Nowdays, there's so many, it's become more of a revolving door of people coming in and out of them. We would get one shot wonders, never to see them again. A lot of RSVP's, but no-shows (Pisses the organizers off). Some Meetups start, but fizzle out after only a couple of events. It would surge then die quickly.

I recall being a long time member of an outdoors group where I would always go hiking and kayaking with them. Of course, you have thousands of members join, but only 20+ actually attend. Then...when he held a non-Outdoor related BBQ/Pool party at his house...those "Idle" members came out of the wood work. lol.

People are fickle, and some even RSVP multiple events on the same day, not knowing they'll wind up being no-shows to some of them.

I recall a walking group, where a woman heard a couple of men talking and thinking there were mostly fat chicks in the group, and walked off the walking trail and went back to their cars lol The only attractive one there was a married woman.

I'm like "Dammit man, at least stick around for more than one event, maybe eventually some ladies will show up that will catch your interest!" lol

Yeah well, I could care less about sports. I would imagine women would see the guy as a couch potato as opposed to someone "manly"

Or they might see you as someone so ready to lick his lips and him as a guy who doesn't care about ***** immediately. And they will **** him any day over you.

Not really, only because I'll be the only guy at the event among plenty of ladies. ;-) He won't be able to accomplish his game if it's not face-to-face.

Anyways, this rather counters the other post about men needing to have to create opportunities. You can't do that by sitting on your ass, watching sports on a Saturday night.

So tell us about the girls you have bedded from these meetup groups you have attended for several years now? How did you do it?

Simply approached them, chatted them up, got their #'s and dated them. Thing is though, you have to actually show up. :)

Bro your posts are very strange.

It's as though you are upset other men aren't giving you competition to sleep with good looking girls. Most men would kill for that opportunity.

I can see both sides...

On one side, this guy is focusing on what he enjoys and doing it. He is not pedestalizing women, blah blah blah...

On the flip side, watching grown men run around and play a game is an almost utter waste of time in my opinion. I have really grown to despise sports in recent years. This guy could be doing something far more interesting than sitting at home, with a couple drinks, watching a game. He is a) looking for validation by posting on the message board (feminine) versus just not showing up, and b) so pathetically invested in this game that he reduces opportunities to meet new people

What would I do? Go to the meetup, and drag one of them bishes with me to watch in a bar (or my house) if I had any care in the world to actually watch it. I get fvcked up, she gets fvcked up, we have sex! This loser sits by himself (or his posse), goes home alone and masturbates in the shower...

Do I hate sports? Not at all, used to be crazy about them. Now I just enjoy the fanatics throwing their money at me when they buy tickets on Stubhub :D
