So today, I decided to wear something different. At college, I usually wear a button-up shirt, or sometimes a hooded sweatshirt or sweater.

However, I chose to put on a nice white shirt, and overtop I put a black V-neck sweater. For those who can't picture what I'm describing (I bet my description is poor anyhow) it's ends up kinda like this (minus the colour difference):

The basic idea is have the white shirt stick out at the cuffs, collar, and around the waste. That contrasted with a v-neck sweater of another shade makes a good combination IMO.

It felt good to be dressed different than everyone else, and lots of girls were looking and smiling at me. Part of it was probably how well I was dressed, and the other half was probably the fact that I felt really good about myself in a nice new outfit.

So my tip is to wear something like this now and then. It's different than the norm, and it looks really good.

welcome to my world
^^funny, I do that occasionally too. I have two v-neck ralph lauren sweaters, and I wear a white t and different collared shirts under them.

seriously, i always get so many compliments on "my style" when i do this. it looks a bit "preppy" but I like it...my kind of thing.

it's sort of peacocking actually, because most college guys are dressed in sweats and tees or just regular jeans. few people know how to dress well.

on a less relevant note, haha, yeah i'm back green...you're right, i can't contain myself. but good tip.

Not exackly tips. I've seen that style everywhere and it isnt a look that say am a "strong men" its abit too preppy and nerdy for me. It isnt as easy as it sound to pull this look off, its gotta be loosy and the right color bombination. Black and white makes you look like you work in an office, am not sure about in a college setting. Try white and beige.

Try wearing a t-shirt over a buttoned shirt. That's a little fresher.

agreed. however, my favorite thing to wear is a t-shirt, some jeans, sneakers/shoes/boots and a nice leather jacket.

Just because you get a lot of looks and smiles doesn't mean everybody necessarily loves how you dress. That outfit sounds like something a preppy nerd would wear.

Which is why Kanye West was wearing it.

Anyways, it's all on how you look at it. If a dorky, nerdy lookin' guy with glasses is wearing it, then it might look very preppy. But, if a clean-cut good looking guy wears that outfit, it can look very stylish.

That's my take, anyhow.

Hes famous, he can wear a skirt and people will still think he's cool  but really... it can look cool on certain people, its not an easy style to pull off and look good in it without looking like a dork.

People underestimate how many women think you look damn fine when you're well dressed. You get a lot more of them looking at you, and you can usually catch em staring hahaha

Kanye West is a ****ing wierdo.... I'd avoid doing anything he does.

Well I'm here to tell you there is such a magic wand. Something that will make you almost completely irresistible to any woman you "point it" at. Something guaranteed to fill your life with love, romance, and excitement.

I like that look. I also dress like that sometimes. Wearing nice clothes gets the womens attention. Preppy style is good..especially if you wanna get the nice looking "prettygirls" instead of the trash and slutz.

And who gives a **** if it's sooo last year or "out of fashion"??
Wear whatever the fcuk you want as long as it looks good on you and it makes you feel great!

I thought only women cared about that stuff...

I went to a meeting at my local lair about 18 months ago to see/hear Mystery give a lecture and about 1/3rd of the 30 guys there were wearing New Rock boots, painted their fingernails black and such.

It was so pathetic.

Yeah, I wore that out this weekend and it went over really well. I'll see if I can get a picture up here soon.

Similarly, I was out this weekend and about 19/20ths of the guys were wearing jeans and button-up shirts.

It was so pathetic.

Both of these statements are true. Neither of these situations is more pathetic than the other. The dudes in your lair wear that sh!t because Mystery told them to. The dodes I saw this weekend wore that sh!t because society told them they wouldn't get made fun of if they wore it. At least wearing weird stuff in public requires some courage, regardless of how effective you think it is.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
