Dressing conservatively

Upon graduating from college i landed a job in an advertising firm. The dress code was really strict, as the male employees had to wear a suit to work everyday (tie included).

The women however dressed sloppy! Open toe shoes, no hosiery, and sometimes flip flops --- almost not even a business casual look.

This trend was practiced in 95% of the businesses i had dealings with during my tenure as an advertising sales executive. Call me ridiculous, but i think dress codes should apply to everyone--not just male employees.

Has anyone else ever experienced this in their job?

Back in the 60s, women wanted equality. Thats fine.

Now, they want empowerment. This is the result of such empowerment.

When I went to elementary school, we werent allowed to wear hats in the school. I never cared until I saw girls wearing them, and it was ok. I never understood the contradiction.

Its like this in most clubs too. My gf and I went to a club wearing cowboy hats. I was asked to remove it, she wasn't. Double standard much?

Your ad firm is a company that is under the heel of feminazis. They want to be above the rules. They want to look like whors and have the opportunity to seduce their way to the top, all the while claiming that they still don't have equal power that men do. They're right. They have more.

Business should enforce a strict dress policy for all workers if they do have one. People should be judged on their merit and profitability in business and not the sexiness of their legs or how high their a.s.s. is.

Actually, I'm gonna bet it's NOT feminazi's. The boss/owner just wants to check out all the ladies.

Actually the females didn't dress sexy, they dressed like slobbish barn hogs! Wearing suits everyday isn't cheap, so seeing them dress casually really got annoying.

Women seem to have the world by the a$$ right now!

Same thing at my job - It's business casual, but the women get away with all kinds of ****. I've seen jeans, flip flops, yesterday a woman was wearing a hoodie?! Meanwhile I'm wearing a collared shirt, khakis, and some spit-shined leather shoes . . . Definitely not cool . . .

You are right. They dress to show off ****.

Kind of pisses me off, because I wouldn't date anyone from work anyways as we know what kind of nightmares that can produce.

**** EM.

I pretty much bust on all the girls at work, just to practice, but I watch the line. Don't want a harassment suit!

Tristan, its that way everywhere. Suits cost a lot plus need to be dry cleaned.

Such is "equality".

Yes I've experienced it too - right down to one of my mates being told off for not wearing a tie when the office was boiling.

Yet the women wear what the hell they want.

It disgusts me.
