Black jeans

I think the jet black "classic" jeans are a litle corny and seem to attract little, white fuzzy things. What do you think about just really dark jeans with white seams. It's like a slicker type of jeans for lack of a better way to describe the exterior.

I think I prefer those. Does it really matter if I get them @ K-Mart or purchase designer brands? Do you think many people would notice?

I personally love dark indigo denim, particularly dry or one-wash denim without any distressing. I think it looks unique and classy, and better than pure black jeans. The Levi's Shrink-to-fit line is dark like this and you can soak them in water then wear them dry to fit them to your body; they're only $30 or so too. But distressed denim is very popular now and can look really good too.

I have tried the black and really dark jeans but took them back because they didn't seem to match ANYTHING. I mean every single shirt I tried them with looks better with my regular color or faded looking jeans.... maybe they just aren't for me.

distressed denim is very popular

I agree. Jeans are getting ridiculously distressed. Fashion seems very 70's and disheveled - untucked shirts, raveled jeans, 70's collars, sideburns, etc.

Hmmmm

What is the advantage of dry dinem? I tried finding an answer in style forums but all I found is that they feel like you're wearing sheet metal.

Instead of laundering the jeans when they're finished being woven and starched, dry denim comes to you straight. It is very stiff, and because it's so stiff it crinkles behind the knees and over them and whiskers at the thighs naturally. This takes time - most guys buy a pair of dry denim jeans and wear them 50-100 times before washing so they can get a unique distress pattern before they shrink a bit in the wash. The appeal for me is that dry denim is usually of better quality than prewashed: it'll last longer and it comes out fitted to your body.

That said, many people think they start out ugly as fvck... and it takes a couple months to break them in.

My taylor hooks me up with sick deals on suits (I think I actually had to give two of them away because I didn't have the room), so I break them out in down town vegas sometimes when i'm looking a little run down.

Old las vegas is is the prefect place to go unshaven wearing a suit with the tie slightly undone. It gives you that johnny cash look (RIP) that women of all ages love, Especially on that side of town. It's definately a good look if you're not trying to do a lot of foot work and want to depend on the draw.

Ghetto look...

Well, at least ghetto look is *some* kind of style. I think it's better to do that than have no theme at all and just be boring as all get out. However, spend a few minutes with some of the women going for that look and you might want to reconsider whether or not such a move is a good strategy. Sometimes you can catch a good one in rebelion phase that way but overall crap still attracts flies. Even I have standards. I've given up the ghetto look (I did do that 5 years ago) in favor of clothes that actually fit me and trying to look like I have something going for me.

BTW, both chicks I am seeing know are Masters students and I'm dealing with less drama than when I first came to this site.

When it comes to jeans I prefer them light colored or natural denim, sometimes with a bleached fade. Black jeans turn white at the seams when you wash them and deep blue or brown jeans give off a high school vibe. The most important thing is matching.

Jewelry is great too. If you have earrings, make sure they match your watch and necklace. White gold goes good with chrome belt buckles.

Just because a woman listens to you and acts interested in what you say doesn't mean she really is. She might just be acting polite, while silently wishing that the date would hurry up and end, or that you would go away... and never come back.
