Here's something women compliment me on almost DAILY. One day I decided to get some Corcoran jump boots because I had always heard what good boots they are. I will give a link at the bottom of the page so you can see.

Well, when I got them home I learned how to put a great spit-shine on them (which took a few weeks), and started wearing them. I never really expected them to go so well with dress clothes. Beneath a good pair of dress pants, these things make you look like the head of a fvcking corporation, and an inch or so taller too. Not to mention they are loud as hell walking down a hallway (which I enjoy). I was amazed at how people reacted to them.

You HAVE to keep them shined though! You don't want to look like some street punk. If you want, I'll give some good instructions on how to shine. When you get them right you can see your face in the toe.

If you ever think about expanding your wardrobe, think about this one. I got mine from www.swedeandsons.com. They are really nice people and make sure you get your boots on time. I think you can also get them from http://www.coveshoe.com/mt_legend_10origjump.html so go here first and you will know which ones I am talking about.

What a crazy, unique idea...I can see how that would work. When you get the complements, how much of the actual shoe do they see?

When I wear the boots, I usually am only showing the foot part like any other shoe. I just let my pants hang over the upper part of the boot.

I wear standard-issue US combat boots as my regular shoes... works for me. Of course, my ankles suck, so the extra support is the main reason, but they DO get noticed.

Those are gay...why don't you just wear a nice pair of dress shoes instead i.e. Bostonians or Browns?

Gay? And you know that because ... ?

I prefer dress boots to shoes - have a nice pair of chelsea boots at the moment, work great. Not sure I'd move to the jump boots cos there's too many laces ;)

The Business Man: how well do these go with different trousers, like chinos, linen slacks, etc? Do you ever wear them with a suit? I'm interested, but want to get something that goes with my dress pants & sportscoat just like my chelseas do.

Anyone know about the different sizes? I know I'm a US size 10, but nothing about the widths... any ideas?

Oscar.

I have worn the boots with my nice pants before, and sports coat, but I have not worn them with my Sunday outfit :). As far as being loud -- I may have exaggerated this a bit, but they do have a noticable "hard" sound when walking down an empty hallway.

I also didn't mention this, but you probably noticed in the links I gave you -- it is the "flat" bottom that makes them so acceptable with nice clothes. You know, they don't have that jagged tread look to them like most boots, and this is probably what gives them the most style of all, even though most people don't realize it.

As a side note, I wear a size 13 (USA) tennis shoe, and I get these boots in 12 1/2 wide. Unless you have a wide foot like mine, I suggest going with half a size smaller then your regular shoe.

Good luck DJing, everyone.
